My inventory isn't shaking or blinking, but, I have a frozen inventory on at least 2 of my dynasty Sims since the patch, it's annoying because one of them had the spare portraits that didn't make the immortal museum, and now they're all locked away.  I'll let you know if I figure any way to unfreeze it.

Traveling won't help me I don't have WA installed yet.

It actually is really nasty that this bug only seems to be avoided by traveling to a foreign country. That means the expansion is a must have if you want to be less bugged.

Mine wasn't really resolved but the Sim in question was an elder and 120 some odd days when I installed the EP. She died around 126 days, all her inventory went to her daughter, and I haven't seen it on other Sims thus far. Knock on wood. Even other elder Sims. She did have A LOT of stuff in her inventory, not sure if that's what did it or what.

Have you tried gifting the items in the bugged inventory (by selecting the gift option when you click on another sim)? Try gifting stuff to another household member.

I'm having the same problem..Not the shaking but the missing inventory. I'm bummed about it, my sim's photography was all in her inventory and she's mastered the photography skill-she had several collections that had come a long way-and several of her pics were worth a lot of money!  :( My game also froze after about an hour of building-and of course I lost all my progress-these glitches all came just from installing the patch! I hadn't even installed the EP yet. I haven't played since I installed the game-was looking to find a solution to the missing inventory before I play this evening.
OH, and the same sim had about 17 friends that she'd lost-even though she has the 'long-distance friend" Lifetime Reward!

I had this problem too. I had two chests in my basement one of perfect fruits for wine making and another with perfect fish for the "perfect  aquarium" LTW - 14 of them! and 2 inventories full of fish and veggies that all disappeared shortly after the shaking began ::sigh:: I'm in the midst of my reinstall due to this and other glitches. I have Vista (unfortunately) and I'm wondering if the other sufferers of this glitch do too? Have XP, Win 7 or Mac users had anymore luck?

It can be heartbreaking but I guess I can't complain. TS3 is a HUGE game - they can't possibly test everything.

I run on windows 7, clearing my caches didn't work, I'm pretty resigned to having lost those Sims inventories, it kinda is unpleasant, but ces la vive, I'll get over it. Maybe once I install WA I'll have a family vacation that will give me all their stuff back ;)

Good news, if you can call it that, Patty's inventory is fine and all it took was a quick trip to Egypt. Now though, Melinda's is stuck.  ::) About the pictures, I lost the pictures I had in the digital picture frames. So, I have none of Penny, Allen or Mortimer's pics. Their YA, A and elder photos vanished. Thank goodness it's the portraits that count and pics are optional because if it was opposite, I'd be restarting again. I have Vista too, so I don't know if it's exclusive to Vista or not. About losing friends while having long distance friend, getting accused of something whether false or true, makes the bar go down. Get accused enough and you can lose multiple friends. Most I've lost at one time is 20.  :D

I wasn't even able to click on anything in her inventory. Except the dried food from an old vacation. Everything else would be listed but unclickable.

I can confirm the patch brought the problem. I don't have Generations, but I do have Patch 1.22. And a casual game character's inventory is blinking. I thought it was due to the fact he had just travelled. Darn bugs. He had loads of expensive books from China in there!

Inventories in my game don't actually shake, but they are working terribly since Generations/Last Patch (I installed both at the same time so I wouldn't know which was the cause). It gets stuck for like 5 or even 10 seconds every time I put something in it or take something out of it, and it happens both with personal and family inventories. It can get really annoying, specially after shopping or traveling.
