Inventory shaking?

It looks like you have an integrated video card, the one that is built in and came with the computer.  I know you said you had your graphics low, but maybe lower something, like one more notch and see if that works.  Like you said, maybe it is something with the game, I am not sure.  Sorry I couldn't help anymore Esther.

Ok, thanks Salty. Hopefully I can keep playing, I just won't be able to put anything in her inventory. This is my Dynasty and I'm so not willing to give up that file!!

I don't blame you for that.  If the game plays well otherwise, I guess just close off the inventory while you play.  Good luck.  It is still a great story though, so keep on writing, lol.

Esther, what if you try editing Patty in CAS through the new cheat? Maybe it will automatically reset everything about her and fix the bug? I heard it doesn't reset relationships/career/skills. Might be worth to try before saving, though.

Unfortunately the edit in CAS didn't work. I didn't change anything though maybe that's why. But I did take her into CAS, and just clicked each button like I was changing something, but I left everything alone. Maybe I should have like changed her nose or something, but when I came out, her inventory was still the same. I also had put 3 of Allen's masterpieces in Bianca's inventory and now I can't take them out. Also those masterpieces have not changed in value like normal even though he's been dead (in game) a few days.

I think Esther, you may want to back everything up, and reinstall your whole game after removing every expansion by hand. I've done it also with bugged sims games and sometimes it helps. If it doesn't you know it is not your game, but probably your savefile. Just try it, it can take up 3 hours though so you better have a nice book on your desk to do something in between loading times.

I had the inventory shaking bug as well, though fortunately moving the sim out and in again in Edit Town seemed to fix it.  It was really annoying, because I couldn't get to her collection helper or the fruit in her inventory.   I hope you manage to get your problem sorted out, Esther1981.

I have the same issue (I call it flickering) on some of my sims I think it might have to do with the WA camera, one of my sims had just that showing up in his inventory, i'd put paintings n and they just vanished.  When I tried to have the sim take a picture the interaction froze and couldn't be canceled I had to reset the sim.

I may just try uninstalling WA as it's been broken since late night anyway.  Only problem Is I don't know how i'd ever reinstall it without buying it again it doesn't show up on my ea download manager.  Oh well the only thing I'd miss really is photography and nectar making the former now being broken....

Is there a special procedure to remove an EP? or would I just do it form add / remove programs?

Thanks Leto, but the thing is, I already uninstalled and reinstalled! I uninstalled base through late night just a few days before I got Generations just to get rid of the bugs. Thanks Ankaret, but this is my Dynasty game so I can't move her out. Well, I could as I'm not following the rules 100%, but still, I've come to ignore it. Thanks Musenapper, the way I uninstalled them was from the control panel, add/remove a program.

I had the same thing happen to me today when I finally got to play my Dynasty game again. And all my Sims' photos are gone, all of them from the Digital Frames and the cameras and their personal inventories. Also, can't take anything out of their personal inventories. So frustrated right now. Uninstalled everything! Again! This time there will be no installing the manual patch, I can tell you that much. If the game doesn't want to run Generations without the patch then there will be no Generations in my game! So sick of these bugs.

So it's the patch that caused it? Man that's awful. Sorry you had it too Lily.  I'm sick of them too!

Did you check the bug list on the main EA forum? They had this listed with a couple suggestions. One of them was traveling, which I thought was odd, but I guess it worked for someone else.  Good luck.
