Great story Metro, thanks for the entertainment.

@Candy might also have been thinking of the comic character Tintin, a boy who travels around the world with his dog Snowy (Milou in the original French version). I always thought that the dog was named Tintin.

Here's to hoping that Milou will make an appearance as well.

Morgana’s Painting Prowess Reaches New Heights

Typically, a bizarre graphical glitch in the game would not become the focal point of an entire update. Then again, you’re not me. Here’s the deal — out of the blue whenever I instructed Morgana to either paint or sell a finished painting, she would approach the easel, do this little half turn behind her, and then shoot straight up in the air while her legs were walking. It's like the game thought the easel was on a different floor or something. It’s really hilarious and deserves a video, but I ended up figuring out it was definitely the easel placement and just corrected the problem by putting it on the 2nd floor before I ended up repeating the action 1000 times and wasting an entire day.

But, Morgana’s painting is definitely coming along nicely. She has maxed the skill as well as finished all 3 skill challenges. Her paintings will be quite valuable once she has the visit from Grim. Thornton approaches Morgana to tell his lovely wife how proud he is of her...

Thornton: “Honey, I’m so proud of you. Your paintings are beautiful.”

“...In fact I think that...hey, hey, hey...where are you going?!”

“Hmmm...that didn’t go so well. Maybe she’s preoccupied. I’ll talk to her later after she’s finished another painting. That’s it...she had her mind on painting, I interrupted her, and naturally levitated into the air to bring herself back to where she needed to be.”

“I love that photo of the dude by the bridge. You really...no, no, no...come back. Not again!”

“Well, I just need to let her finish painting and then catch her when she’s not distracted and deep in thought...”

“Honey, Lassie will be a Toddler in a few days. We need to discuss who will be teaching him the 3 skills. I can teach him to properly lift his leg or squat in the yard. I can teach him to bark when he needs to be let out. But, before those two things how about you teach him to run around the house like a maniac and knock stuff over? Grrrr...bow wow.”

“Wakey wakey.”

Lol some glitches are just too hilarious. I love the way you work it into the story! So um Lassie will bark to be let out? Sweet, I have yet to hear a Sim bark!  ;D

So I finally have a chance to give my feedback. This is the most hilarious dynasty I've ever come across. I must ask about this story though, is the next one going to be named Snoopy?

Doggone it, I just don't know. Lol. I guess I need to get in the mood to continue first, don't I? Well, next week I will be catching up on challenges because my middle daughter who plays Sims a lot will be in Girl Scout camp all week. I bought her her own computer and put Sims on it, but we still only have one game disc. Lol. And then the following week she and her younger sister will be visiting my mom for almost a week. So, my goal is to knock out the Random Challenge AND Rock Star in the span of those two weeks. They're the ones I'm most looking forward to. Fingers crossed. But, if I can do that then I'll get back to this and try and get a couple litters made before the end of the year.  :D

Hello Metro,

I'm not 100% sure about what I'm going to explain here. But, since I need to reinstall my game soon (due to :cough: the recent frying of the graphic card), I'll be able to test my suggestion.

I think that you can register the serial codes of your purchased disks at EA website (EA, not the Sims 3). This enables the download of the digital versions, with 2 big pro's:

1. In case of a lost/scratched/broken disk, you can download its digital version and don't have to buy it again.
2. With the digital installation, you don't need the disk to play. This is the very official and legit way to play without disk.

As I said, I'll try this myself in the following days. If it works, I'll PM you, ok?

And congrats with your DecaDynasty by the way, your stories are always very funny and entertaining. Good luck with the puppies!

Edit: I just remember, there is one potential big problem with the digital download, it's securom. I don't know if it's the same mess than the one of Spore, but for sure something to keep an eye on.

Yeah, Wolfpack! (Hangover 2 was just out, now this? Can we get an Alan Wolffman?)

Hilarious - as always - Metro! Look at where your Men have taken you to! Only 3 updates and already 3 sites! It would be Hilarious if one of your 'werewolves' would have an affair with a Vampire... if it weren't for the rules ;(

Hey there! I have been lurking on this forum for quite some time and read your Immortal Dynasty. It was very epic. This new challenge that basically FORCES you to play the pre-made families spurred me to start posting here. The DecaDynasty is very interesting and I recognized some of the rules from your ImoDyn(short for Immortal Dynasty) - some of the requirements are ripped straight from ImoDyn! Not that this is a bad thing, mind you! You defined the term 'SuperMax' and I like how these transferred requirements really

I had also been reading this thread. Interesting that you decided to have the Wolff couple of Sunset Valley be your founding couple considering how Thorton hates kids and Morgana wants them. You wove a great story(I was surprised at the red boarding school graduation robes Morgana wore in that one shot, I didn't know she was a former student of LaFromage!) and I find the reasoning behind your using the Wolffs for this story so you could change their family name to WolffMan(chuckles at the werewolf reference) very funny. Nice to see the old Metro Man humor is still alive and kicking.  :D

Keep up the good work. I tried to do this challenge myself but real life has made it hard to play Sims 3 for more than an hour a day. You can do what I cannot do, finish a challenge. I can't wait to hear some of the crazier dog names you come up with.  ;)
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

Thanks, Etna. And welcome to the forum. Wow, I really need to get off my duff and put some more effort into this story. It's just a tough time for me right now. But, the kids are going back to school at the end of this week and I should have more free time soon.

I honestly do not know if I'll get back into this or not. For whatever reason, I'm having major writer's block and the thought of doing an enormous multi-generation challenge is too daunting at the moment. So, I'll move this to the Graveyard for now. But, it's here and waiting for me if I change my mind. :)
