Help on Evolution of Chinchilla quest
« on: May 26, 2011, 07:32:05 PM »
So, I'm doing the Evolution of Chinchilla quest where I'm playing both the Blacksmith and the Peteran Priest. Everything was going fine until my Blacksmith had to exchange the dust box she made with the amplifying dust from the mystical merchant. The yellow thing pops up to point out where he is, and he's supposed to be at the docks but he is actually walking around in circles in the forest and I cannot click on him! It's really annoying and I've waited for a long time hoping he'd snap out of it and pop down to the docks but nothing happens.

I've seen that people are able to finish this quest without any problems and I can't find anyone who has had this happen to them. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum akasha669.

If you know the mystical merchant's name you can try to reset him/her.  The other option is to see if you can invite that person to the docks by way of carrier pigeon.

The last way would be to start your game from an earlier save and see if that doesn't help.

That's a bug that happens in Sims Medieval sometimes. The only way I know of to fix it is to enable testing cheats and then force a reset on the stuck NPC.
