Spirit Positioning Device picture anyone?

Often I've read here that we have very nice members.
Well, I'm wondering if any member here is nice enough to post me a picture of the Spirit Positioning Device. I'm to curious how that equipment looks like but my next generation sim is far from level 10 Ghost Buster, which has something to do with the fact she still lies in a cradle and can only eat, sleep and burb, so it will take a little while before she is old enough to see her first ghost.
So, any member willing to show me how the device looks like?

No, I didn't. Is it a working one, or just a model, just like the 'decorative relics?'

Sadly, I think it's a model.
But I thought you just needed a picture?

Leto, I only made it to level 10 once and I remember it was something that appeared only in my Sims' inventory.  It took me awhile to figure out it was there and how to use it.

When I clicked on it and went to Map View, tags were shown all over the neighborhood. These tags showed me where every spirit was at that particular time, even the ones that were hidden. That way my Sim was able to teleport all over town to collect spirits.  I do remember having problems since sometimes the spirits had moved and I had to relook at the map to find them again.  I think my Sim was yelled at by some homeowners for his behavior and some homes I could not enter when no one was home.

It works like the Collection Helper for bugs, rocks, seeds etc. in that it really wasn't something I could pull out of the inventory and use.

@mtglady: Is the item also transportable among inventories? It would be nice to give it to the next generation when my sim is 'old enough' to join the spirit world himself.
The homeowners where yelling at him because he was on their lot? Hmm, maybe a trait like cleptomaniac will solve this issue. Or wait, inapropiate is maybe better for this.

Like I said I don't remember too much about it but if I look hard enough I might still find that saved neighborhood and see if I can transfer it to his wife.   

You're right Leto - I think he was behaving 'inappropriately' and that is why they were yelling at him.  I don't think the families liked him wandering through their homes even though they invited him in .

Whaha, I can understand that.
But another question: is it even possible with this device to suck up 'real' ghosts? The ghosts of past away sims? It would be cool to collect those to bringing them back to life eventually.

Unfortunately not.  This device just locates spirits that look nothing like the ghost of dead sims.  In the ghostbuster profession you can suck up ghosts that look like dead sims from very long ago using a different piece of equipment (but they just disappear and don't go anywhere), but you can't suck up the ones that actually have a tombstone associated with them.

Unfortunately not.  This device just locates spirits that look nothing like the ghost of dead sims.  In the ghostbuster profession you can suck up ghosts that look like dead sims from very long ago using a different piece of equipment (but they just disappear and don't go anywhere), but you can't suck up the ones that actually have a tombstone associated with them.

And without tombstone they're gone forever. Perhaps deleting the tomstone after moveObjects on is activated while the ghost is 'out and about' will help but I'm to scared even to try. Don't want to lose my precious previous-generation-ghosts.

Well, ClayMask already said it doesn't work. So maybe if I have nothing else to do I will try, but probably not.
