Installing a new expansion pack. Help.

Hey,

I've pre-ordered the sims 3 generations and when it gets here can I just install it straight on my pc? Or unstall all my sims 3 games and re-install them?

When i've brought a new expansion pack i've always re-installed all my games, It takes up so much time.

Some people like to uninstall and reinstall everything.  I've never bothered, and my game runs just fine.

As Schipperke said some people like to re-install everything. Others like to do a complete backup just in case something goes wrong. Personally, I've never bothered with either. I'm usually too excited when I get an EP or stuff pack and just rip it out of the packaging and straight into the computer, and that's how I've done it since the original game was released.

I normally like to reinstall the game at that point to keep it in good running order.  It's not required by any means, but the Forum Administrators recommend it.
