Tons more updates! I go back to work on Saturday so this will probably be one of the last of the "I've been playing sims like a full time job" updates. Because these updates have been so long I'm going to link a few of the less important pictures, but keep ones that document life, death and other important events.

Death, Life and Immortality

It didn't take long for my little boy, JD to grow up. As he aged up to a child, Dad let me know he was proud of his girl, me. He's taking being a Granddad well. Maxwell also stopped by, my Granddad, or at least his ghost did.

Trever has been a really hands on father. He actually helped JD achieve staying on the honor roll for three days by tutoring him up to an A before he ever went to school.



Childhood doesn't last forever though, and JD was soon a teenager. I told him to keep his grades up because he told me he wanted to be a World Renowned Surgeon. He promised he would, and he did, but not without a little distraction.

I also had my adult birthday. Dad told me around this time about the Ambrosia requirements and immortality. While I struggled with the idea of outliving Trever and Mom, I wanted to prove myself. I already had the friends, the property (the Theater and Pinochle Pond), and most of the other requirements. The last thing I needed to fulfill was maxing out my job. I was behind because of raising JD, but I was ready to pull my way to the top.



A few pictures of various things happening at the house. Dad and Trever playing in the sprinklers, me driving Trever's cop car (I'm not supposed to, but hey it was the only car left) and JD and I working on some of his homework. School gets harder for each generation doesn't it?

Trever also aged to an Elder. He was almost to the top of his career in the forensic branch of the Law Enforcement career path. He worked until he got to level 10, his lifetime wish, and retired.





Mom also retired at age 89 after being one of the best Power Broker's the business world has ever seen. She wanted to go back to work shortly after but we told her not to, to enjoy her retirement.



Back to JD's distraction. He met a girl, Yvette Richards. She wasn't the nicest girl, but he fell head over heels for her.



It didn't take long before he had his first kiss, and first girlfriend. They make a very adorable couple.



Mom, Dad, Grandma and Granny Amelia went out to eat one day. It was kind of funny to see that group of elders kickin' it at the Bistro. They called it an early night and were home by six. I hope I'm still rocking out when I'm that age.



And within no time, JD was a Young Adult. He picked up a career in the medical career track immediately and called Yvette over. They were married by the end of the day.

JD also started inviting over ranked chess opponents. He had decided it was time for him to take the Grand Master title.



Then came the two worst days of my life. First Mom went. She was 104 upon her death. I had thought maybe she started sneaking the ambrosia, but Granny Amelia told me that her husband Chris had lived ten days longer. The next day my beloved Trever went too. He was 90 days old on the dot. I was hoping he'd live longer, but he had made peace with death and shook Grim's hand before leaving us. Both of them now rest in the graveyard in the backyard. Hopefully I'll get to see their ghosts.





Good news, a day before aging up to Elder I made it as a Rock Star. I had completed all my ambrosia requirements. Now all I needed was an Elder sculpture, a painting and the ambrosia. I couldn't wait for tomorrow.



That night we found out Yvette was pregnant! My first Grandchild! I couldn't believe it! JD had trouble sleeping, I heard him walking around the kitchen at all hours of the night.



Finally, it was my Elder birthday. After I blew out my candles it was time to get a makeover and start posing my pretty face off.

I also decided to retire at this point. I played a few gigs before I did so. I wanted the time to be with family, if I wanted to play for the crowds all I had to do was go to the park.



I hadn't learned how to make ambrosia, but Amelia was willing to. It was that time of the week for all the immortals to start eating it anyways, so Granny Amelia made me my first batch. She also sat down to eat it with me.

It was amazing! I think there's a link between all of us who eat Ambrosia. As Granny and I ate it together I could feel her excitement for me, and then I felt this great rush of life. I felt like I could do back flips! It was a few days later that Yvette went to the hospital to have my grandchild. Funny enough, JD was already there answering an emergency call. He told me later it was a huge surprise to see Yvette wheeled in past him.



I think something's changed about Yvette. She used to be confrontational and, to be honest, a brat. I didn't see what JD saw in her, but after little Gwendolyn was born, something's changed.

Short update since I've been working.

Lots of Birthdays, as usual

Mom, Grandpa and both Granny Amelia and Elizabeth told me I have to write down my thoughts. They explained to me early on in life that I would be Immortal, should I fulfill their requirements. I didn't want to document this, seeing as my early years aren't going to be that important to me as an everliving being, but then Gwendolyn was born. She's perfect. Yvette, my wife, takes such good care of her, as do all the Immortals in the house. Yvette knows about what's going on, but she doesn't seem to mind. She said that she just wants to see Gwen grow up, and knowing that myself all all the other immortals will be there to take care of her should Yvette die suddenly, puts her mind at ease.

Mom also loves playing to Gwen while Yvette plays with her. I wish I had more time, but I'm a doctor.



It didn't take long for Gwen to age up to toddler. She's so beautiful. We were going to fix up her hair and clothes, but Yvette thought she already looked adorable.

And thanks to all my hard work, I achieved my Lifetime Wish of becoming a World Renowned Surgeon rather quickly. The support of the other elders taking care of Gwen helped, but now I have time to get to know my little girl.



Gwenny aged up into a child pretty quickly. She seemed really upset with her looks at first, but Yvette was happy to help her. (I didn't get a good screenshot of Gwen as a child until her teen birthday xP playing real quick at this point)



I also aged up to an adult later that day. With most of my ambrosia requirements done (the last two OPs, BFs and Logic Maxing hadn't been achieved at this point) I was able to throw a party for a friend.





But, he died at the party. Actually, I was throwing the party for him for my boss. The boss wasn't too happy about it, but what am I supposed to do? Everyone had fun at the party anyways. Actually, there's been a lot of death in town. Granny Amelia saw death both at the park and the graveyard.

Death apparently stuck around after the graveyard death. He cried at a child's gravestone and watched Granny Amelia fish. She's been dodging death for years and even she found it incredibly unsettling.



After getting on the honor roll for three days, Gwen became a teen. I hope she isn't rebellious!

Time goes by quick when you're mortal I guess. I've gotten close to Gwen, and help her out on her homework all the time. The immortals play foosball a lot. They've been inviting me to play every so often. They're all pretty cutthroat for a bunch of old people.

Have to keep the immortals away from most things, they're all getting too close to supermaxing skills I've already used for a Supermax, or plan to use, so I just make them play foosball or videogames all day.

Let's get to Generation 7!

Somebody's a little childish. That's Dad. He's a surgeon and he's playing with my old toys. Time to get rid of them.



I'm Gwendolyn, or Gwen for short. I was born into a family that's trying to become Immortal. Everyone has one child in hopes that the child will achieve immortality. Granny Amelia discovered the secret while Granny Liz helped her to create the rules. It's a challenge for each of us to achieve. We don't know how long it'll last, but it's getting pretty crowded here. My teen years didn't have much excitement. I spent my time gardening, my chosen skill, and oh yeah I guess I went to France with Grandpa Xander. He was fishing while I was finding new plants.

I'm also a little handy. My lifetime wish is to become a Creature-Robot Crossbreeder afterall.



France came to an end rather quickly and we got home to Mom, Yvette, aging to an Elder.

I also had my young adult birthday. I joined the science career track and went off in search of a husband. After all, I needed a child.



Granny Amelia liked Augustin Baca the minute she saw us together.



While I was courting Augustin, Dad aged up into an Elder. He just needed his portrait and sculpture before eating his ambrosia, but his friend Walther died while his portrait was being painted so he made a few quick friends and took a few extra days after his birthday before becoming immortal. Go Dad!





I popped the question to Augustin and he joined the family!



It was a few days later he aged up to Elder. Granny Penelope suggested I marry older. In her words, the men are more mature and they have less time to question the extremely long lives of the immortals in the house. I did love Augustin, but I wasn't about to let my family down.

I hit a brick wall here. Augustin and I were having difficulty getting pregnant. So, here's a few things that were happening around the town at the time.

Then, Mom died. It was a really frightening experience. She desperately wanted to see her Grandchildren, but Augustin and I were having difficulty having them. She begged with Grim for more time, but she was 91 days old.

Grandpa Chris, Granny Amelia's husband, stopped by shortly after to pass along news of Yvette on the other side. Granny told Dad, and Dad told me she was content knowing she could visit as a ghost.

Then, almost immediately after Mom's death I started feeling sick. Amelia suggested eating some watermelons, but it didn't help. I soon had a baby bump to confirm my suspicions. We were pregnant!



I went into labor after going out to eat with Cousin Brenna. Everyone at the diner was freaking out and I looked a little silly in my formal clothes.

Trever's ghost even wanted to meet his Great-Granddaughter!

Her name is Dominique. She's a rather disciplined little child. She doesn't cry a lot and boy is she brave when she snatches the bottle right out of your hands. It wasn't long before her first birthday.

Dad said she looks just like me at that age, just with purple eyes instead of blue. I also had my Adult birthday. Not much to report other than I'm off maternity leave soon. Most of my ambrosia requirements were completed, I just had to work up the career ladder.

It wasn't long before Augustin passed. He had spent all his extra time with little Dominique as a child, quitting his Military job at position 8 to spend more time with her. When he passed on, he made his peace with Grim. I know I'll see him still, the ghosts on this lot come out all the time.

Then, Dominique made it to a child. She insisted on getting that hair chopped, so I did it for her. She doesn't like it much, and asked if she could put highlights in it. I said no.

Life at this point was pretty regular. Everyone did their own things and I made sure Dominique was doing well in school.

And then I had a teenager on my hands. I let her get green tips this time.

She quickly chose a lifetime wish, to become a Martial Arts Master. That meant a trip to China or two, so she became a jetsetter and the two of us headed to China. I picked new plants and learned a little martial arts while Dominique focused on her training and the tournament.

When we returned home, we worked on getting Dominique's portrait and sculpture done, and then she started learning atheletics.

Dominique also got her first kiss from one Courtney Crum. I asked if she was in love with him. She shrugged. Teenage hormones.



On my end of things, I made it to the top of my career track and completed my lifetime wish. Now I'm a mad scientist. I get the hair and everything!



It was also my elder birthday a week later. I had completed all my requirements for Ambrosia. Granny Elizabeth worked on the picture while Granny Amelia did my sculpture. I got a little bored waiting, but I tasted my first ambrosia!

Dominique is still a teen and she made it to the top of martial arts! She's a little creepy when she meditates.



A lot has happened, and now it's up to Dominique to continue the line. I'm a little worried to be honest...

Dominique's Immortality and Generation 8

The house was getting a bit crowded with restless old people. Grandma Liz and Grandpa JD were playing tag in the backyard. I'm pretty sure it's just JD's fault.



I was mastering my Martial Arts. Breaking space rock blocks is tough business.



I had managed to max my Martial Arts skill before my Young Adult birthday, but I can't stay young forever.

So it was off to China again to finish off the tournament. A few days at that was no problem for me.

The Immortals stayed home and danced, apparently. They're a strange bunch to be stuck with for all of time.

When I got home I had an awkward conversation with Grandma Liz and Mom. They pointed out that I needed to have a spouce to continue the dynasty. I scoffed at them. I wasn't really into marriage, but I guess if they really wanted an heir...

We could play guess the father... I had trouble finding someone, everyone was married or with someone. So it took a few tries.







My pregnancy was pretty uneventful. One minute I was pregnant, the next I had a little boy. A boy named Shaun. The immortals all loved him, and he was okay. I had my own things to worry about. Like my career.





I'm a little bit of a thief. The immortals don't know my line of work, I told them I work at a club out of town. I think they think I'm some kind of exotic dancer. Whatever. Shaun grew up pretty quick...

While I was spending my time in jail some days. Needless to say the Immortals eventually found out. Granny Liz wasn't too happy, but I think she's over it by now, I bring home lots of beautiful paintings with me.



When Shaun became a child, he started his work, as an Inventor.

I was about halfway through my career path when I aged into an Adult. I didn't have much more time to complete my immortal requirements if I wanted to join the rest of the family.

Shaun spent all of his time as a child inventing. He never brought friends home, so we had a quiet birthday party for him.

Upon becoming a Master Thief I got a statue of a fox, a golden fox. It gives me a great rush of excitement every time I see it. Shaun also got an award from the town for creating 50 wigits.

Shaun once again didn't bring any friends home, although apparently he made friends with one Elton Crum. He's the son of my old friend Courtney. So it was time for his Young Adult birthday. He celebrated by blowing up scrap in the backyard.

He also created a simbot. I guess it's technically his son? We don't see Lyle Byron much. The rest of the family is pretty terrified of it.



I didn't have much time before my Elder birthday, so I made some new friends around town. I'm not sure why, but I just really wanted some friends to stay connected with the rest of the town.

And then I aged up to Elder. I was ready to eat the Ambrosia. My painting was made and Amelia sculpted me.

Now it was just up to Shaun. I talked to Granny Amelia. She said that it was time to end the dynasty. Shaun's firstborn was technically a simbot who was ousted from the family. Perhaps, she said, we were all overstaying our welcome. However, Shaun would still have his shot at immortality.

Notes: I've actually finished the dynasty. I'm going to make one more update with Shaun's life, but I think I may have screwed up so I'm not sure if this will qualify for HoF, but regardless, I'm just happy to be done.

The End of the Dynasty

My name is Shaun Byron. I'm an inventor, and I am the last of the Byron Immortal Dynasty. My destiny is to become immortal, the last immortal.



People say I'm eccentric, but I know the gnomes are planning something.

I spent my childhood, teen and young adult years inventing. My Adult birthday hit me before I knew it. It was at this point in life, after everyone in my family had become immortal, that I should consider making some friends.

This whole family is a bit strange. I'm not sure why they want to live forever, but I could invent for some time longer. Amelia sculpts us all and Elizabeth paints us all. There's a huge basement with all our sculptures and paintings. I helped them remodel it, there wasn't enough room for my sculptures.



I went to take a charisma class at the town hall. Upon leaving I met a lovely frenchwoman. I don't remember her name, but I talk to her often.

I guess I made enough time machines. I would sell them at the consignment shop, I figure everyone should be able to time travel! I got an award and a ceremony. A few of the women there were winking at me, and so I made a few new friends...





Beth is married I guess, but she didn't have any problems with me kissing her.

I made a bunch of new friends, but sometimes I need to talk myself through these situations. Everyone seems to find it strange, but who doesn't talk to themselves? I just vocalize.

I take lots of pictures of the Gnomes. They are always moving. I found a few at the consignment shop, invented a few, and Dominique stole a bunch at work.



I think they're friendly. The day I was to age into an Elder, the gnomes were in the backyard by the grill. That's where the party was.

Speaking of a birthday party, I guess this was a big moment for the rest of the family. I had completed my requirements to eat ambrosia. Dominique cooked food for the party. We invited all my friends.

We had moved the sculpting and painting equipment into the backyard so Amelia and Elizabeth could sculpt and paint me easily.

All the immortals danced into the night as I ate my ambrosia. I felt strangely happy after all this. We were going to be together forever, I guess.

@Chronic- Thanks for reading! Yeah, it got to the point where I didn't really plan the story out, and I was more focused on finishing the challenge then the story. I tried to give each sim a personality though for their entries. xP If I do the deca dynasty challenge I think I'm going to focus more on content than speed.

@Alexandria - Yeah, and my story is really picture heavy. I'll probably go in and shrink the pictures down in photobucket later considering most people seem to size down their pictures. I was still kind of getting used to everything with this story.
