Warning For Physicians
« on: May 19, 2011, 04:04:18 PM »
Just because you have something in your inventory doesn't mean you can deliver it!  My physician had a weak curative tonic and the responsibility to deliver it to someone, but when I tried I got a pop-up saying the bottle was empty.  Later he still had the option to medicate someone, so I suppose it was only empty for the delivery.  If you play a hero like the physician or wizard who has to deliver a crafted item to someone and you usually carry around some you made in advance, you might want to carry a few spares.

Same goes for the Wizard and the Blacksmith.

*  I find that when I use speed three (3) to craft and deliver a final product, then my boxes are always empty.
*  If I craft at speed two (2) and deliver at speed two (2), then I have a 50% chance of delivering an empty box.

I am good 100% of the time if I deliver at speed one (1) no matter what speed I crafted, nor how long the product has been in my inventory ;).

I always use speed 3 (at least 90% of the time anyway) and the empty bottle scenario has only happened to me a very few times.

That's interesting, and good to know. I thought it had something to do with my hero being a drunkard, because more often than not it was the mystic grog that was empty! I thought perhaps an easter egg.

That's odd -- I've never had a problem, and I'm like Simmerqueen: unless I'm doing something very delicate, I'm always either at speed three or paused.  I think it might be a glitch in your game?

I've had that happen too, mostly with my blacksmiths and wizards. I make the item, it's in my inventory, I give the item, and I get a note pop up that I delivered an empty box or something. At first I thought it was because I had started fast forwarding the crafting action, but it would happen even when I didn't fast forward through. I do wonder if it has to do with mood/focus, but I've never paid that much attention. I don't normally carry around extra potions/swords with me so when I get those tasks I make them on the spot. I find it happens to me more often when my tasks for the day are two crafting items that I make back to back.

Since it's a message generated by the game not something that happens with no information given, it looks to me like a random "joke" the programmers put in.
