Wow Pam, what a work to delete all those things by hand. I'm busy with it now but still am wondering: why do I need to do it the hard way if I could do it the easy way? The Configuration Panel I'm reffering to.

Another question: while reading the instructions on the link you've provide I got the feeling something has mentioned twice. 4, 5 and 6 seems exactly the same as 7,8 and 9. Although I expact some difference between the words 'Expand' and 'Collapse' those instructions seems the same as after following instruction 6 there is no file anymore named 'The Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff.' Is that true? Here's an example.

Delete the Registry Keys:
1.Press the Windows key and press the letter R (this will open the registry if you're not already there.)
 2.Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
 3.Expand SOFTWARE. (Wow6432Node for 64-bit systems).
 4.Expand Electronic Arts.
 5.Expand Sims.
6.Delete The Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff entry.
 7.Collapse Electronic Arts.
 8.Scroll down and expand Sims.
9.Delete The Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff entry.
 10.Expand Microsoft.
 11.Expand Windows.
 12.Expand Current Version.
 13.Expand Uninstall.
 14.Delete the following folder: {ED436EA80-4145-4703-AE5D-4D09DD24AF5A}

On this link they have forgotten to mention to delete the file '{910F4A29-1134-49E0-AD8B-56E4A3152BD1}' from out of the 'Installshield Installation Information' file. I asume I must delete it because files mention according to previous deleted expansions from out of the registery are mentioned with the exact name in the 'Installshield Installation Information' file to be deleted first.

Just to say it. Could be important for folks who are used to follow everything exactly to the letter. ;)

Edit: Nevermind this. I see they did it in another order. This step is now placed as last. Don't know why, but the order seems to be less important I guess.

Here is the link to manually uninstall Generations expansion pack:

I can't find an answer for the Town Life stuff pack so far, it's probably too fresh  ;)

Have you found the reinstall for Showtime already?
Not that I need it right now, but it could be good for later.

Edit: Page fixed itself.

I am getting a new rig today and will be installing all the expansions again. EA changed it where installation order for the expansions and stuff packs is not important anymore right? I know it once was.

I'm sure I've read comments to that effect, somewhere here in the forum, but of course I don't remember where it was.  Actually, when it came to the Stuff Packs, I didn't buy a lot of the earlier ones when they first came out, so I wound up installing them out of order anyway and I could never see that it made any difference.  When I got my new computer a few months ago, I installed everything in order because it was just as easy to do it that way, whether or not it makes any difference.

Enjoy your new computer!

In the process of a manual uninstall and I noticed that the instructions for Ambitions and Showtime don't have this step:

 Expand the Electronic Arts folder.
Expand the Sims folder.
Right-click The Sims 3 folder and select Delete.
Collapse the Electronic Arts folder.

(Except with "The Sims 3: Ambitions" and "The Sims 3: Showtime", of course)

Does that mean I shouldn't delete them? I'm scared to deviate from the instructions at all but I don't want to leave files that should be deleted.

It may be mentioned somewhere else, but I have a bunch of expansion packs installed and I want to uninstall World Adventures (I don't use the features much & am trying to speed up the game).  Do I need to uninstall and reinstall every ep since then?  I thought I read somewhere that release order doesn't matter anymore, and I don't want to go through all that trouble if it isn't necessary.  Thanks.

It doesn't matter.

Also, check out the Sims 3 Game Selector.
