Items lost in treasure chest
« on: May 17, 2011, 05:40:11 PM »
I've had an wonderfull collection of gems, metals, captured ghost, insects, paintings, relics and probably many more collectibles until today when I find out 90% of all my items where missing from the treasure chests where I kept them in.
Aren't items suposted to be saved in there?
I have a older backup with a lot of items so I can place them back, but still, what if I didn't had that? I really hope somebody does know a way to prevent this in the future because if it can happen to me it can happen to you too (which I hope it never will).

I don't have WA, so I don't know if my answer is correct.

Perhaps your sims are taking it out? I don't know because again, I don't have WA. Very unusual. You can also check the family inventory.

No, it isn't that. For the reason sims don't do that. With our without the kleptomian trait. :P But thanks for the help.

Poor Leto. Did you move? The only time I had that happen to me, I moved and the treasure chests were in family inventory and when I got them out, my money tree seeds and some other things were missing. Back then I didn't know to save before doing things or how to go back to a previous save, so they were just gone. Now I always take things out of the chests and put them in the Sims inventory before I move. Again, I'm really sorry that happened to you.  :(

Thanks Esther!
Yes, it indeed happens after I moved the house. I have a backup of course, but although I can't see it at first sight the paintings (for example) are not considered as painted by my sims. The same count with other items.

Oh yes, and the Skull gems have decreased in money tramandiously.

Sorry? Well, ... I forgive you I think. Though I'm pretty sure it wasn't your fault.
