Plastered Perpetuity

Hi, I am new to this board, but I wanted to share a small trick with you regarding the achievement 'Plastered Perpertuity'. I could not find it mentioned here yet.
To get Plastered Perpetuity, you need to have your sim with a happy or mean drunk modlet for 24 hours.
When I got further down the drain with 'sloshed' I did not get the achievement. As mean drunk or happy drunk has no focus effect, they don't have a timer set on, which means it can be tricky to know when to drink. But if your sim is drinking a nice ale or wine (not a regular one) he will get a nice buff with a timer set on....just make sure your sim will drink before the timer is off and not too often or you will get sloshed.  :)
The achievement will trigger when you finish the current quest (at least in my case).
I don't know if it is important, but this sim was not a drunkard.
I hope this helps. :D

I just completed this achievement. I tried drinking just before he lost the 'Good wine' buff, but he quickly ended up Sloshed.
Attempt two involved me saving after he had his first drink. Then I'd let him run around until his Drunk buff downgraded to Tipsy. I'd make a note of the time and then reload from the save point. About 15-30mins before his buff would wear off I'd get him another drink. If that kept him Drunk then I saved again. It was a lot of faff, but it worked, and I'm pretty sure it's quicker than trying to guess when the next drink should be. I got the achievement as soon as the 24hrs had finished.

that's weird as for me I got it quite easelly as long he did not get sloshed. the timer set on the drink worked quite good in my case, sorry to hear it was more trouble for you.
