Why are my friends stuck at work?

Several of my best friends seem to be glitched because when I call them they say they are at work and to call back in 19 hours or something.  I know this isn't the case because I see them at home or I can visit them and they are at home.  I have reset these sims but it hasn't fixed the problem.

Any suggestions?

Randy, I've had this happen too.  As you say, sometimes it happens with Sims that I know aren't at work.  I've found that if I call back again about an hour later or sometimes even right away, the other Sim will suddenly be available.  I have no idea why this happens, but as long as I can call them back and things are ok, I don't worry about it.  Have you tried calling back?

Yes, this has been going on for days.  I have run into this issue several times since have installed late night.

This happens to me all the time with NPC characters who is a maid, mixologist, repairman, etc., or if one of my Sims has been assigned a job like consignment store cashier. I find that's usually the reason.
