Orphans in need of a home: The Orphanage Project
Prologue

I had an Epiphany - There are those who live in abject poverty, while others simply sip their tea and order Jeeves to bring them lobster. Why is there a gap? Why?
It seems unimportant to some of us - Protect ourselves first, and others later. But we cannot think this way. If we do, millions will die - by our hands. It seems to be irrelevant - but these people are hungry. Tired. Orphans.
I know somebody named Schipperke. She decided upon a challenge, and laid it at the feet of our own people. It's a great thing to think about - The same people that call it irrelevant and unimportant are now just busy trying to make a difference. We should make a difference. I now took two of Sunset Valley's Wealthy Elite, and instructed them that they must make a change, or else they would never see their families again. It is up to them. They must take in Orphans, and if they fail to do this, be it on their heads.
One resisted. She told me that it was unfair. Why couldn't Skills do it? Take her away from her family - "Sure! I'd be happy to get away from those... those
things!"
I explained to her that Skills was busy with a woman, a beautiful young woman who had already partaken in this project. (I am, of course, referring to Pippa Vandersim).
The other one, a young lad who promptly grew up, was keen to do it. He loved his family, his dad that had once left him for a woman named Pamela, his mother who was more concered about her social standing, and becoming CEO over the man who often fell victim to vampirism, and wanted them to be safe.
I explained to them that there were no loopholes. I checked this and checked it again with a lawyer, Mr. Payne. He told me that there were none, as he had seen Pippa and Sebastian Vandersim grow and mature. They had no escape. Nor should these two.
I told the duo I would be with them, every step of the way. They only needed to call, and I would speak to them.

The rules for this challenge are here.
I am using two premade sims for this - any guesses as to who they are?

Just so you know, If a line is written in italics, that signifies that the Watcher (me) is speaking.

I'm almost sure one is Malcolm Landgraab. But I can't think of the other. Holl Alto?

Seabody, what a fascinating start to your orphanage project!  And thank you for mentioning my characters.  It gives me a warm feeling to see Pippa, Seb, and Mr Payne being mentioned.  Might one hope for an appearance by Mr Payne?  No, don't tell - surprise us!  But please keep in mind that Mr Payne is a philanthropist - he gives gifts from time to time.   ;)

Looking forward to reading more!

Both are correct.

Schipperke, of course I'll remember that Mr. Payne is a philanthropist! *hint**hint*

Excerpt from a letter from the Payne and Fears office:

PAYNE AND FEARS
MR. J PAYNE AND MR. S FEARS

Dearest Elizabeth
I am sorry it has been so long. I have watched over two siblings, seen them grow and mature. It is a real shame that they chose to decline their reward. Sebastian seems happy with Maxine. And Pippa seems content with life with Skills.
I must not be long ~ Mr. Fears is calling me to discuss some silly theivery case with a Mr. R Bland. Real idiot, he is. He stole my favourite desk! (At this point, the letter becomes illegible. All you can make out is one drawing: >:()
---holiday in Kansas. I know you used to love being there. It is a real shame that you will not be around any longer. Simcer is a real bad problem. Holly and Malcolm should help this. I'll see what I can do.
Love you sis,
Payne.

I've got my own version of Payne-in-the-neck's first name.

Next chapter: Hope.

Seabody, you made me laugh with the letter from Mr Payne!  I'll definitely be checking for updates in your story.  It sounds like we may learn more about our elusive philanthropist.  ;)

You might do.

Now, just in case anyone wants to know, I'm saving Malcom and Holly to the Sim Bin so they do not get their inventory or skills added to the household. Just in case.
EDIT: I didn't want to change them too much - just age them up and pick the ramaining traits. But when I saw how big Malcolm is... I slid the sliding slider down.

Holly and Malcolm received a call.
"My name is J________ Payne. I represent the Watcher. I will be living with you to monitor your progress. Be aware that, although he may visit, Skills is NOT to help you. Goodday, and I will be with you momentarily."
Holly was tapped on the back. When she turned around, who was there, but Mr. Payne!
Holly: "Gah!"
Mr. Payne: "Heh. I love doing that to people"
Malcolm: So why us?
Mr. Payne: "You must learn to identify that Riches cannot always be Galore. (Heh!) So you will partake in this. Now, where's the Long John? Travelling makes me queasy."
And he ran inside.

Thank you Sophie. It always makes me happy to see someone liking my story.
EDIT: And I'm pretty much the original Mr. Spinoff. ;D

Need you now

Mr. Payne is doing a fantastic job - he's not meant to help, but he squeezes in there while I'm training Holly in Cooking, or Malcolm in Charisma. I've never used Charisma except in Pre-made Sims or Sims from the Swap Shop that have it. Mr. Payne has got the daycare bug - no, not an ingame glitch, he just likes taking care of Benny, the first orphan to be adopted.
To help train myself to take care of multiple orphans at a time, Malcolm originally was forced to chose the Daycare Profession. I'd say I'm pretty good at it, despite reaching Level 2 and giving up. ;)

Do you know why this chapter is called "Need you now"? Because there's a little loving going on. Malcolm and Holly fell in love, by my own hand. So therefore, I held my first Generations Wedding. Not a party, but a private wedding. Mr. Payne recorded the vows, and they wed in the middle of the Daycare centre. They celebrated their wedding with three things - Woohoo in the shower, Malcolm getting SWALlowed*, and Malcolm becoming Political.
*SWALlowed - Swah-low-dah. n. 1. A Simperson with an Awful LTW. 2. An organisation, Sims With Awful Lifetime Wishes.
Malcolm switched out Swimming in Cash (why did I pick that!?) with Leader of the Free World. Apt. He will fight for change for these precious orphans.

Haha, a short but very humorous update Seabody!! Ah, shower woohoo, a mysterious man recording your vows, and switching to the political view of life. The classic tale of a Sim. ;D I enjoyed it very much! ^_^ Can't wait for the later updates.
