No daily responsibilites?!?!

Well, I deleted all my saved games (for a fresh start) after not being able to complete the "listen to the teacher" quest. (I know that's not what it's called, but you know the one I mean).  I am using the same king I had saved to the bin, and I'm playing for Platinum goals (didn't know about that in the first game!).  The first day, I didn't get any Daily Responsibilities.  Hmm.  Oh, well, I decided maybe because it was a new game, I got the day off.  But I'm at 9:30 of the second day, and STILL no Daily Responsibilities!!  [profanity edited — MM]  I can't level up with just practicing on the dummy or hunting!  Has anyone else had this problem?  FYI, I DO have testing cheats enabled.

Well, I know responsibilities won't fire on the first day depending on when the hero begins the Quest. Oh, wait a minute....are you doing First Steps? Yeah...responsibilities do not fire in that Quest until the Take Time For Yourself component.

What character are you playing, and what quest are you doing?

It's the very first one "Small Steps" I think, and I am the monarch.  The monarch was the only option as I am starting right from the beginning.  I also didn't have to do the tutorial this time.  Is that normal?

Edit: Just popped into the game to check.  It's "First Steps" in the "New Beginnings" Ambition.

As for the tutorial, I believe that is normal.
