Sim got BUSTED Doing the James Vaughan Adventure!
« on: January 10, 2010, 08:08:58 PM »
This has NEVER happened to me before, but....

My sim had accepted the adventure to go into the secret hideaway of the Morcucorp base, which is under the Lufti house. (the James Vaughan adventure) Since it happened to be the middle of the night, my sim snuck into the house and was easily able to get to the secret stairway to go down to the secret base. The two Lufti sisters who lived there, were sleeping upstairs and not in the master bedroom downstairs, which is where the secret staircase is.

So my sim went down there and had the combination to unlock the first floor since it was on the toilet paper. LOL  But once she got to the second floor, and was trying to follow the lights, she was having trouble getting the correct combination. So while she's down there stepping on all the floor switches, the woman who lives in the house came tearing down the stairs in her nightgown and ran into the room where my sim was and started yelling at her!!  I'm assuming she told her to leave in Sim language because the next thing I know, my sim gets the base camp icon come up and she's about to leave to go back to base camp!

I was like, "Uh no you don't! You only have one more day on your vacation to increase your visa level...you're staying!"  So I teleported her over the wall and past the locked doors so she could go ahead and go down to the next level. LOL  I was laughing my butt off the whole time! I never had any of my sims get busted from going to one of the private homes to do an adventure.

Anyway, my sim completed the adventure, but I think she was pretty shaken up. She's got the "good" trait, so I'm sure it bothered her to be caught breaking into someone's basement.  :D :D

Wow, if this happened to me, I wouldn't know what to do since it'd probably be on my legacy. But seriously, this is absolutely the funniest thing I have seen/read all day!

I know...it was funny...I was cracking up!  I've just never had anything like that happen before.  :D :D And it startled me to see that woman running down the stairs so fast! She was mad!

i had my sim put up her tent on the lowest floor of that cellar, and the ladies came around to complain that she behaved inappropriately ;D . if you are in a tomb/cellar of a residential lot, then you will always be made to leave somewhere during the night (i had that happen in several places in egypt). You can always go back in the morning, say hello to the ladies who live in the house, then go back downstairs, and they would never remember meeting you in the cellars the night before. to avoid this and explore such a cellar through the night, you have to ask to sleep over at that house.

One time in France I was in a tomb under a residental lot. The tomb itself proved little match and I made it with ease. But when I for some reason went down again afterwards, I found the family's son roaming inside the tomb! The only way in was a hidden door that I'd closed after myself, so who knows how he managed to get down there! :D

Whenever I have to turn in a quest and the family is asleep, I just drop my tent in their front yard and that wakes up the whole household.  Then when my target comes out, I finish my quest.  I'm not about to let a silly thing like a sleeping household deter me from the completion of my duties!

Silly night sleepers!

They are supposed to meet you at the mailbox no matter what time of day or night it is.  Whenever you finish the quest, click the deliver button and it should let you deliver it immediately.

Yeah, but some of them...when you're supposed to explore a tomb under a residential lot, you have to actually visit the home and get in, before you can get to the tomb. Some times you get the option to "sneak in."  But if it's late, the option to "visit the whatever household" doesn't come up because it's supposedly too late to be visiting people.

If you don't get the option to sneak in, I figured out another way to get in..... ;)

If you look in the window, you're able to see the inside of the house briefly and then you can quickly teleport in there before it goes dark again.  ;D

But would you have to use the testing cheats? Or can you do it with zeneport?

I used the testingcheats. I doubt the zeneport would work because you have to be looking in the window to light up the house. If you're able to zeneport, that means that you're meditating and can't look in the window at the same time.

True. Darn, means I won't be able to use it for my legacy but anyways, I've never had a problem with the adventures, unless I have to get a target sim to the Friend status and it's late at night.

I am pretty sure this is the adventure I am on... How did you get the stairs to appear in the downstairs room?  I have not been able to figure it out!  Thanks for your help with this. :)  Happy Simming!

This is a spoiler alert:  There's certain things you have to do to get the stairs to appear in the bedroom in the Lufti house.  #1 turn the stereo on, if it's on then you turn it off and turn it back on again (I think this is the one that causes the stairs to appear), it will give you the clue numbers 8249;  #2 flush the toilet, of course the sim has to go first, even if they have the steel bladder they will still "go" and flush when they finish...this gives you clue numbers 2341;  #3 you are supposed to read a book out of the bookcase but in my game there's never any books to read, so the clue numbers are 617.  Go down the stairs and you will see lots of floor plates to stand on.  Starting with the first plate, first row, far left, you count the plates and stand on the ones that corralate with your numbers from your clues.  After each successful set of numbers are completed, a green light will let you continue to the next level...doors will open and you can go to the next set of stairs down.  At the bottom you are supposed to hack into a computer which is a piece of cake after going through all this just to get to the computer. :D

Happy simming! :)

But what about tranquil transference, I mean, without cheats? Does it work to meditate, look into the window and then use it? I actually haven't tried queuing the action like that...
