I have to admit - I've accidentally written George once or twice! The hair and the J/G sound makes them quite similar, but that hair suited him the most.

And Chronic, because of all the Dragon Fish that Europa caught (about 480), they still have plenty of money - They sold for over $120,000!
PS. I had to edit that. I wrote Luna instead of Europa. I'm getting names wrong all over the place haha. But Europa does remind me of Luna quite a bit

I opened my eyes to see blackness stretching out in front of me. I was here again. The dream.

I looked into the distance. The ghost was there again. The ghost that I knew so well, but didn’t know at all.


Like always, I slowly approached the ghost. I wanted to go faster. I wanted to see her face, but not matter how hard I tried, my feet stayed at their slow pace. Slow and steady.

I was behind her. The chill of her figure crawled over my skin.
She said my name, slowly. Carefully.


I saw the fog emerge in front of her as she took each breath.
Another step forward.
I was cold.

I reached my hand out. This was the part that I always woke up.
But this time my hand made contact.
Her skin was like ice. It hurt to touch her, yet I couldn’t let go. I needed to know.

She turned. Her eerie glow clouded my eyes.
She stared into my eyes. She stared into my soul.
I watched her face. I watched her empty eyes.
I tried to speak the words “Who are you?” but my voice was silenced. Silenced by her smile. She knew me.


Something tugged behind me. I begged for one more minute in my mind. One more minute. I almost knew her. I almost knew.
I started reeling backwards, faster than light. I was almost at the surface. Almost in the light.

I took one last look at her, and gasped.
I knew who she was.

I jumped out of my bed, and sprinted down the house.
How could it be?
How could I dream of her before I even knew she existed?
It had been her all along – Agnes.

I ran through the house, searching every room. I needed to know. There was something that only she could answer. I screamed her name desperately, over and over again.

I ran out of the front door, still screaming her name.
What I saw shocked me.

There she was. Agnes, floating. She was a ghost.


A million questions popped into my head. Was I dreaming?
I stood, in shock. I started begging myself to wake up. I shouted. I screamed. I didn’t understand. I was lost in a world of darkness.

Then he appeared. Death.


He called Agnes’ name.
She called my name. She called my name, just like in the dreams.

Tears ran down my face. I was still begging myself to wake up. It had to be a dream. It had to be.

Death looked at me, fog drawing from his hooded face.
“Copernicus,” he spoke, “you’re next…”

I didn’t understand. What was a Copernicus?
I stumbled over my words, as I tried to take it all in. “What’s a Coperni--” I started to cry. But he disappeared, as though he’d never existed.


They were both gone. Death and Agnes.
It wasn’t a dream. She had really gone. My best friend had just died before my eyes.
So many questions were left unanswered – how did I dream of her years before we had met? Why did she leave so suddenly? What did the cloaked figure mean?

Sadness overwhelmed me. I heard people shuffling in the background. I felt a hand on my shoulder. The sound was muffled out. I couldn’t think. I couldn’t breathe.


She was gone, forever.
