Can't get mailbox back to normal after testingcheatsenabled

I got the mailbox to work with the cheats, but now it doesn't deliver mail.  I worked my way up to ordering the heart shaped pink diamond but now I can't get it delivered back to me.  Even if I turn off the cheat, the mailbox still shows an asterisk but says no actions available.

Welcome to the forums, Bsmesser! I've never had a problem after using the cheats, but I know a meteor can break it. To get a new mailbox, evict the family in edit town, switch it to a community lot, then immediately switch back to residential, put the family back in and the mailbox should be fixed. Hope this helps.

Thank you.  I missed a step in this so when it didn't work I moved to a new home.  I had to wait for the opportunity to come around again and lost my pink diamonds.   

I think it might be because I had selected to know everyone and maybe I didn't wait for it to finish??  Just a game. thank you!

You're welcome! Sorry you lost your pink diamonds though. I've used every cheat on the mailbox but, mine didn't break. The only thing I knew that broke it was a meteor.

While it's possible that the testing cheats actually caused this, it's equally possible (if not more possible) that the cheat had nothing to do with it.  Sometimes things just get glitched.

Some people use the testing cheats a lot (see:  Esther ) and don't have problems with it, but it is considered one of the "riskier" cheats.  However, I'd imagine that problems related to this cheat are something akin to being struck by lightning:  most people will never be struck by lightning or even know anyone who was, even though they go out in the rain regularly.  But it happens often enough so that everyone knows that there is a risk of it.

On the bright side:  if it was caused by the testing cheats, your chances of having another problem as a result of it any time soon are probably remote.
