OK, I have been wondering about this for a long time. What is the maximum number of weeks one can play in Late Night? Is it 360 weeks? The reason I am asking this is because I wish to create a Sim that is able to master ALL the skills in the game and I am afraid that there could be a time limit.

Thanks!

I don't think the game (in any of the towns or expansions) has a time limit.

There is no maximum amount of weeks you can play in Sims 3. And if there was a time limit I doubt it would change depending on if you were playing the base game vs. an expansion.

Are you asking how long a Sim will live?

I am sure that Blanchflower is talking about, when you reach the end of Week 9999, what will happen? Will it become Week 10000?

By the way, if we play for a long number of weeks, won't the game lag? Anyone has any experience about this? Thanks!

No, I don't belive that is the case. The bigger your Sim's house gets, yes that may make it lag, and so might the amount of neighborhood Sims, but the amount of game time won't, not directly, anyway.
Hope this helps!

The larger your game file the more lag you get, having a long game will cause some lag. As Ruby says it also depends on objects that your Sim may have in their House.

Will there be more bugs as well, like the elevator issue?

It's hard to tell. I have had bugs in BP from the start and some that only arrived in say Week Four.  Make sure to make Back-Ups and if that game starts to get glitchy save the Household and move to a new town/game.

The elevator issue does not become more prevalent with time, it stays the same. At week 41 I still fix 1 elevator every four weeks or so.

I have to place down new copies of buildings before I buy them cause my game freezes if I don't, but that's the only glitch it's gained since the beginning.

I don't know if there is a maximum number of weeks; but, having a vampire sim (she's a young adult with 85 days to adulthood), I have found that since she is 5 star and knows EVERYONE in town, when she is invited to parties no one is there when she arrives or they are just leaving (though they invited her). When she goes to hotspots for dancing (party sim), people who are arriving immediately leave (as well as the mixologist and bouncer). It's almost like no one can stand to be in the same room with her!

Hm, I don't know how to help you MoMoll, but as this is a significantly different problem than the one being discussed here, maybe you could try making a new thread?
I think you'll get your problem solved faster that way. :)
