The Neilson Dynasty
« on: April 29, 2011, 05:42:55 PM »
Author's note:
Before you start reading this, I must tell you-I am using cheats in this Dynasty (Make Need Static only), and it will not be for the Hall of Fame. I have been playing this Dynasty for a while but, until now, could not gather the courage to post it. Because of this, details of my Founder's life as a Young Adult and Adult and of the Second Generation's childhood and teenage years will be very brief. If pictures are needed to confirm that this Dynasty so far is genuine, just ask. The suppy of pictures is limited though, as I deleted most. It is unlikely my house will be colour-coordinated like everybody else's, because I simply hate decorating and have no talent at it! I apologise in advance for the lack of updates during certain times, as I will be studying for exams until July, but decided to write this anyway. Also, please tell me about any spelling/grammar mistakes or any other issues! I try and make this story look as professional as possible. Well, that's enough explanation and apologies. To the story...

I am Jessica Neilson

As you've probably guessed, my name is Jessica. I was once a beautiful young woman, new to Sunset Valley. I had great, glorious ambitions. I wanted to become a Five Star Chef, and had the natural ability and addiction to work to do just that. I knew I would, could and should do it-and I was right. I have gained so much from the journey to the top. Obviously, I now have money in great amounts. I have a husband named Chris, who admires my passion for the job and ability. The other things I have gained are both due to Emma. She was the very first best friend I made in my whole lifetime, and the best boss one could ever have. She gave me yet another precious gift, though- the secret of Immortality. She explained to me that she would have attempted it herself, if not for her (sadly deceased) husband. While she was trying to become pregnant, he drowned in the swimming pool, alone. Even though she has had many attempts at romance since, they have all failed. As she explained to me, even if she did find her true love she could not bear to go through that yet again, let alone make her descendants feel that too.

However, this is supposed to be a happy introduction, not a sad one. Here I am…

Other than cooking, my favourite thing to do is dance. As you can see, I even did it while pregnant. I’m sure it didn’t affect my baby though. She is a fully grown, married adult now. She recently got married; did you hear it in the paper? It reminded me of me and Chris’ casual wedding. I must have influenced her in that aspect, if nothing else. Even so, I would have liked to see the happy couple exchange rings…

Oh, how long ago that was. Nowadays, I look ever so slightly different-a side effect of aging, I presume. Blonde no longer really suits me, so I have been experimenting with different hair colours. I have settled on this one, for the moment.

Well, you have seen my life so far. I am soon to be Immortal, and would be if one of my friends didn’t drown on me. I bid you goodbye, for now, and leave you with one last picture…

My mother has introduced herself, I presume? It is my turn now. I am Eliza, Eliza Neilson.

As you can clearly see, I recently became a Young Adult. In quick succession, I reached the top of my career as a self-employed Painter, and gained the title of ‘Master of the Brush’. Even I must admit that it is a very grand title. I enjoy my job, and have done since I started as a teenager, but the lack of a regular salary is rather irritating. Now, I could paint one picture a week with no other financial support and earn more than many, but before I became ‘the de facto master’ of painting I had little luck with profits, at the Consignment Store or elsewhere. No-one was interested in the fairies and trees I drew. It was a long, hard slog to get to the top. My mother’s income was the only support we had; as high as it now is, buying out businesses and upgrading properties is not cheap!

After this achievement, Mother decided that I was to be married. She knew of several ‘suitable’ candidates-like Erich Goth and Donte Blankenship. However, one of my dearest childhood friends desired to wed Donte, and an acquaintance Lorie Hodge was secretly going steady with Erich. However, both the poor men were obsessed with me! They tried everything to grab my attention. I saw them often in the local gymnasium, running on the treadmills. But I never did like them.

The men of my desires were Mortimer Goth and Joey. Joey was my teenage lover for a brief period of time. Time is cruel, though, and I grew older while he remained young. I could not handle being alone, nor the pressure on me to marry, so I decided to rebel. Mortimer, the older brother of Erich, and I started to see each other secretly.

The wedding was all planned. My first thought was to sneak away to Champs les Sims with him, but the only bank account I had was a family one and no doubt Mother would have quickly caught up with us. Anyway, I had no passport at that time as we were forbidden to travel by some rule or other. Instead, I invited Mortimer to Stoney Falls. Romantic, serene, isolated…All that was missing was the chapel!
However, someone knew about our plans. Not Mother or Father, thankfully. Still, imagine the shock I had to see Donte, Eric and Joey there, of all people! I made Donte and Eric leave promptly. Joey was a totally different kettle of fish, or so they say. He had grown from a good-looking teen to a simply divine young adult! I had to break up with Mortimer, to my sorrow-but how could I have married HIM with this dashing man watching me? Before I knew what was going on, Mortimer was sobbing and I was being pulled away by Joey. He leant down to kiss me, and fireworks exploded in front of my eyes. Birds sung, flowers bloomed and bells rung. Excuse the clichés, but he was the one. My one and only.

This was quickly followed by a ring, made of a band of platinum and a single large diamond, being subtly slipped onto my hand. I returned the gesture with a simple yet sophisticated ring, meant for Erich but fitting Joey perfectly. I guess it was a sign.
#
To my extreme surprise and delight, my parents agreed to our marriage. It was sealed, now with parental blessing, by one final kiss, in the style of a British royal.

Phew! I had to work hard to get that done before midnight (UK time)! I wanted it to be on the same day as the Royal Wedding-although it is quite a contrast!

By the way, what I forgot to say on the other chapters:

Please comment! I would appreciate any, negative or postive! Thanks.  :)

Awesome job Jessie! But for her to marry Joey instead of Morty? What's up with that?

Awesome job Jessie! But for her to marry Joey instead of Morty? What's up with that?

I knew someone would point that out!  :D Just before she married, I realised that Morty would be far too old for her-I needed him to do the portraits of her, etc. That's why I went for Joey, who had 'just had his birthday'. But as it turned out, Joey was an adult anyway!  :'( I wish I'd gone for Morty now. Sigh...

Great not-quite-so-beginning! I think that Jessica looks very nice as an Elder, one of the best I've seen ;D

Thank you! I did notice that, compared with an elder Holly Alto she looks like an Adult!

So far so awesome!  :D Also your first post confused me, you said Emma would have been immortal if her Husband hadn't drowned? Did you mean Agnes? But then you said Emma was the best boss ever? So did Emma have a husband as well that you made up or was that the Best Friend that drowned?

I meant that Emma wanted to be immortal (she found out the secret first) but when her 'husband' died, she realised that she couldn't take the pain of any more deaths. She also didn't want her children to have to deal with that kind of tragedy either. And her 'husband' was made up in the name of artistic licence. ;D I totally forgot abot Agnes actually having a husband that really drowned, lol.

Jessica would have become Immortal sooner if three of her best friends didn't die on the same day (I can't remember their names, though). Sorry for confusing you, and thanks for reading  :D

Author’s note: Two very, very important things happened today, at roughly the same time! Hmm…which to tell first… :D How about both?

Buy One, Get One Free!

The moment I had been waiting for since the wedding had come. The newlyweds had been on honeymoon, brought back a dashing young chap named Elliot (to paint portraits and sculpt, I am told. Chris is aging far too quickly…) and, as an elder, I knew there must be something in it for me now-other than the ‘joy’ of seeing my daughter get married to the wrong man. Cue excessive bathroom use…

This made me very happy; as I’m sure you can tell! Three days passed, albeit slowly, and I had my grandson. He’s a gorgeous baby, given the name of Jonah. My dream had come true. Instantly, Chris and I wanted more. Five, to be exact! Fingers crossed that will happen for me, in time, but Chris is a different matter. I don’t have the heart to bring up the Dynasty rules with him, but he can’t die in ignorance. Maybe I’ll tell him some other time. He must be content with one grandson, to love and cherish with undivided attention.

Don’t they grow up fast? His baby years blew away like leaves. To my displeasure, it was soon Jonah’s birthday. All of the adults were so occupied that he was unnoticed until he crawled into the living room. However, he was still as cheerful as ever.

It was finally my turn to celebrate! I worked very hard since the day I was told about Immortality, and, finally, it was mine! I unlocked the kitchen door and invited everyone in. Chris handed me that Deathfish, limp and still dripping, and I forced myself to grab it. After dicing and mixing, it actually didn’t taste so bad!

And afterwards, oh, that feeling! Though I have experienced it many times now, each time is different. The sweet renewal of life, topped with cinnamon.

The only disappointment was the rush of it. I was 81 days old then, so I was hurrying anyway, but Emma Hatch called me, her tone of voice indicating panic. She told me that Jared Frio was not feeling so well, so I should hurry and eat, not bother with the big party. Like a schoolchild, I obeyed. Just moments later I received another call-Emma was gone. Lost to the Reaper, who had come calling to collect his crop.

At that moment, I felt like my soul had been fed to the crows. Now I know perfectly well how life goes on. However, then all I could think of is that we’d been best friends for years. If this was agony, how would losing Chris feel?
Alone, in my painfully silent garden, I wept.

In other news:
The Neilson’s have a ‘guest’, named Holly Alto, who just happens to be locked in the kitchen. Teehee.  :D She wouldn’t leave the house, and I needed to lock the kitchen…Don’t worry, everyone, she has a bed and a bathroom too!
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this, but Eliza has long SuperMaxed Painting! She also completed her LTW, Living in the Lap of Luxury. Chris also completed his LTW, as did Elliot.
Since we’re talking about Elliot, his full name is Elliot Saint James, he’s from Champs les Sims, and he is a Young Adult. He’s not a bad-looking guy, but his only real use is sculpting and painting when Chris passes on (Eliza will still need her portraits done). He may even possibly be a Romantic Interest for Eliza in her later years, or a best friend.

And the Buy One Get One Free? They bought celebrations! Very cheesy, I know.  :D

Thanks for reading! :)
