Bringing sculptures home from travel

I'm not sure which board this should be on.   I just had some sims come home from china and they had probably 25 ice sims in the family inventory.  They're all sculpture bases upon arriving home worth nothing.   Is there a way to avoid this? Is it a bug?  This is my dynasty so one of the sculptures was going to go into my museum but it can't if it doesn't survive the trip.

Have you completed the 25 sculptures so they don't melt? If not that's what happened. If so, I don't know and I'm sorry. If I sculpt ice in another country I sell them immediately. Doesn't help with the career, but it keeps them from melting on the way home.

Yeah the sim who did it has the sculpture skill supermaxed -- I was just doing the ice sims to boost relationship and was going to sell most of them for his profession to get over the last hump.

I think it's a bug in the game.  Ice sculptures don't travel well.  It's best to sell them before returning home.

Or sculpt them at home, if it's an Immortal Dynasty. I understand that it saves you time, but what's safer? At home, of course.

It's a good strategy to sculpt while on vacation if you're just looking to increase the skill, no matter if you're playing the Immortal Dynasty Challenge or not.
