Need a little more money to finish that architectural job?

Just found this by accident.
I was doing a architect job and I had a sketch in my family inventory that I had done on the drawing board and thought I would added to the job for some extra decoration. Later I decided not to include it so I grab it off the wall and put it back in my family inventory and heard the ka-ching and saw $540 floating up the screen like it had sold the sketch.

I look in my inventory and it was still there but then I noticed the remaining budget for the job looked bigger than I thought it was.

I thought I would try it again to make sure I was seeing right. I picked up some VR Goggles I had got as a celebrity then dropped them back in the family inventory. Same thing, ka-ching and $5,700 added to the remaining budget but I still had the goggles.

I finished the job with that money and really deck it out and they loved it.

Might be interesting to mess with. Go to do a bathroom make over and add that $15,000 car in my inventory to the budget a few times and build them a whole house and see what they think.

Well, isn't that interesting!  I wonder if it's just a glitch of some sort in your game, grimsoul, or if it will work for everyone.  I haven't played an architect in ages but this might just convince me to try it again ...

It works in my game as well.  But I think it's a glitch, although not enough of a glitch to be addressed in a patch (obviously, since we've had several patches since Ambitions came out, and it's been this way since then).

This happened to me too, but I found that money was going from my family into their budget. But luckily I was just losing 200 at a time and had 75000 but I didn't notice for a while.

If your talking about me than I can tell you I got it all honestly. Painting, law enforcement, writing, and I got most of the latest amounts in Architecture. I can get a lot of money in architecture, about 10000 a day, seven days a week.

Hosfac's right. When I use this trick with my architecht, the money that gets added to the budget comes out of her family funds. It's useful if you're building for a frugal Sim and want extra money in the budget, otherwise you might as well spend the whole budget and furnish the rest from your pocket. I motherloded that Sim because she's part of a test, so I do the exploit a lot anyway.
