I came home all excited for the patch only to find...no patch yet

My game keeps insisting that it's up to date.  It doesn't seem to know about the patch yet.

Hmmm...I would not think the fact that you're not in the U.S. would make any difference since it's all internet based with their servers. Try restarting your computer and launching again.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I did try restarting, but no luck.  Is it possible that they're releasing it to the U.S. first?  I don't think my launcher is at fault as it did notify me about the last patch.  Guess I'll just have to keep trying.

I'm in the UK. It says there is an update. When I choose to update the download doesn't progress (0%). Then it tells me to reconnect to the internet. It's like they've set a variable saying there is an update, but there is no patchfile at the location.

EDIT: There is thread about the Error: 7049:12007 problem I'm getting on the EA forums. Not mention of anyone actualy getting the patch yet though.

This is what it says about the patch on the EA website: 

Patch 1.3 Update...If you have the boxed version of the game, the 1.3 patch should download right after the launcher launches. If you have the digital download version of the game, the patch will be available within 2 hours, probably much sooner. Sorry for the delay. It has to do with how the download servers are staged. So stay tuned.

Which doesn't really explain the delay in my game, as I have the box version of the game.

So apparently the camera improvements only apply when you are following your sim? It seems I can only chance the angle then and if I pan the screen it changes the angle back and won't let me change it anymore. Is this the same for everyone else? If so this stinks because I was hoping to use it to make clicking on hard to find herbs/ore easier!

I have the sims mideval "liked" on my facebook and they have a link to the patch which worked for me (although I haven't launched the game since my family thought I should make dinner instead of play my game )

I been on the game off and on the whole day. I just remembered to restart it to get the new patch. I am excited about the child taking over the most I think.

Is it me or does 'change existing traits' within the game no longer work after the patch (assuming you have testing cheats enabled.)?

I have had an issue with daily tasks for my merchant since the patch. When I fufill (or at least think I am fulfilling) a daily task it does not accept it.

Side Note: What happened to the spell checker?
