How to Enable Test Cheats:
Note that Test Cheats can break the game. Use them at your own discretion. There are known instances where using some of the Testing Cheats will cause problems with game saves, and in some extreme instances have cause crashes when used in error.
PC
1. Access the Program File: (C:/programfiles/electronicarts/thesimsmedieval/gamedata/shared/nonpackaged/ini)
- Use your My Computer / Computer in your Start menu to access your main drive (usually C). For 68 Bit Operating Systems us the Program Files 68. Open the 'Electronic Arts' Folder > Open the 'thesimsmedieval' folder > Open the 'gamedata' folder > Open the 'shared' folder > Open the 'nonpackaged' folder > Open the 'ini' Folder.
2. Create a Backup of the Command.ini File
- Find the application named: 'Commands.ini' Copy it. Create a New Folder and label it Original Command ini. Open it and save the copied 'Commands.ini'. This is your backup. If you have problems, you can recopy this backup to the 'ini' folder.
3. Edit the Command.ini File.
A - Remove Read Only Status
Go back to the ini folder. Right Click on the Command.ini application, and select Properties. in the Properties box, un-check (deselect) the Read Only box. Apply and Save.
B - Edit the Code
Open the Command.ini file. It will open as a Notepad Document. Change TestingCheatsEnabled=0 to TestingCheatsEnabled=1. Save the File.
Problems with Admin Rights - further required steps to modify the files.
If you get an Admin Rights Required error when you try to save / implement changes, you must do the following:
When you are in the Properties Pop Up Box for the Command.ini document. Click the 'Security' tab. Go to User Group or User Names, and click Administrator. In that pop up select Edit, which will open the window: Permissions for Commands. In the box listed as User Group or User Names, select "Administrators". Select 'Full Control' in the 'Permissions for Administrators' box. (All boxes below should shade gray when done correctly). Click Apply. Now change User Group or User Name to 'Users'. Select 'Full Control'. (Again, everything should shade to gray.) Click Apply, and OK to save changes.

Using the new Test Cheats:
Once you have enabled testing cheats in your game files, they can be used just like the existing in game cheats - through the consol.
The new Test Cheat options available are:

disablerespos-Disable Daily Responsibilities. (Sandbox Mode Cheat)
enablerespos- Turns responsibilities back on.
setkingdompoints (#) - set your Kingdom Points to whatever number you enter, up to 9999
setKP (#)- set your Kingdom Points to whatever number you enter, up to 9999
setQP (#)- sets your Quest Points to whatever number you enter, up to 9999 (Sandbox Mode Cheat)

showallvaidquests-shows all quests which you might be eligible to complete.
showallvalitquestNoAspects- ??
disableclothingfilter (off or on) -unrestricted clothing options for all your sims when set to on.
Shift & Click Cheats. (Test Cheats Enabled is required)
Pressing the Shift key while simultaneously selecting a character (left click) will open up a new options menu that allows you to manipulate character specific data, such as Traits, Flatal Flaw, Relationship Levels, - you can even change the sims profession (but you cant change it back so be careful!) You can't change the sims level. Shift & Click Reset has been recommended as a fix for stuck characters, but this is not always successful. You can also use Shift & Click (on the ground) to teleport your sim. Another very useful options is to Shift & Click on the Quest Advancement Icon, which will automatically complete the required quest step. Really useful if your stuck and want to move on!
