Jacoban Priest Vs. Peteran Monk (Buffs)

I  have now played both the Peteran and Jacoban Heroes and found it interesting that the Jacoban does not get as many Hero specific buffs. For example, my Peteran Monk gets positive buffs for giving a sermon, but my Jacoban Priest does not. Also, the Peteran Monk gets a positive buff when he is in the monastery, and it says "from work", while the Jacoban Priest gets nothing like that. It seems kind of unfair since they both have they same job for the most part!

Has anyone noticed other differences? I wonder why EA designed it this way?

Haven't played the Peteran recently, so my memory on the differences may be a bit vague, but Carl's Hero guides spell it out well.

I guess the design features are there to offer a completely different way of handling religious aspects.  I find the Jacoban very easy to play and progress.

I like the Peteran, but, like Slingsby I find the Jacoban easier to progress with and he/she tends to make more money from sermons.

I do like the positive "Superior" buff from the Jacoban Priest talking to a non-Jacoban.
