Energy Potion Recipe

Hello,

Thanks for the great guide!

A quick question though- is ability to craft energy potions by a wizard supposed to be automatic once one completes the Effenmont annex quest? I completed the quest (Political marriage I think it was called), and the energy potions are available at the village shop now, but my lvl 9 wizard can't craft them (there is no option to craft them).

 I haven't done that quest so I'm not totally sure, but it could be a potion receipe your Wizard gets at level 10. I can't remember if mine has it or not but I think he does. But just because you have to craft something for a quest doesn't always mean you can do it afterwards, some receipes are quest specific.

That would be good to know for sure. How much of your energy bar do they fill? It might make it faster to get the 'well done' achievement, and it would be worth knowing if we should craft heeps of them while we can if the recipe disappears after the quest.

I think it's the physician that can make the energy potion but not the wizard.  I know the wizard does NOT make it, not positive about the physician though.

I thought it was the spy who made the energy potions, but I'll check for sure next time I'm in my game.

I've never had a charcter make the energy potion, but in the Prima Guide it's listed as one of the physician's medical potions.  Actually there are two listed - "Potion of Energy" and "Crafthole Energy Potion," with slightly differing ingredients.

Well, maybe the wiz can't make them...that would explain it.

In Carl's guide, however, it stated that wizards and physicians can make them once the Effenmont annex quest was completed. (I am referring to the "Energy Potion" and not the "Crafthole Energy potion"). I'll have to see if my physician can make them now.

You can get energy potions from choosing to drink the water when you a strolling/patrolling in the forest, along with the fresh breath buff. Either that or you get poisoned.
