« on: April 17, 2011, 01:02:04 PM »
The Dragons have lived in Simla for centuries, being one of the most wealthy families in all of China. They have been respected and relished through-out the country, but as almost all families did, they had a secret. The Dragons had been most popular because of their long lives, most people thought they had healthy lives, some people thought they used witchcraft, but the Dragons knew better. They were on the hunt for immortality, and they were close. Their first discovery was by Dorun the wise man, who discovered a golden glowing plant that seemed to extend life, so he named it Life Fruit. His son, Dorun II who was a scientist, figured a skilled cook could make a dish that would reduct a person's life stage, and if that person kept taking it, they would become immortal. The secret was the scales of a Deathfish, that could only be found in the ancient graveyard at midnight. He gave this information to Dorun III, his son, so he may have an immortal life. He died a content man knowing his son would live on forever, but he would not leave him blind no, he would leave him a quest. A quest, when fulfilled will create an immortal dynasty. This is Dorun's story.

Very nice start! I look forward to reading more :)
The next time you look into the mirror, just look at the way the ears rest next to the head; look at the way the hairline grows;
think of all the little bones in your wrist. It is a miracle. And the dance is a celebration of that miracle. *Martha Graham*

Chapter one: Sim what?

My name is Dorun. I am from Simla China. Some of you know me from the future, but i'm sure most of you don't. My father gave me this old book and shipped me off to this small town Sunset Valley, halfway around the world. I got a letter a month ago that said my father died of old age, while he was asleep. May he rest in peace. This book he gave me, it seems so unreal. Life fruit, deathfish, kids, and…  immortality. I've asked myself on the plane ride there dozens of times if I really wanted this, or if it will just end up in my closet for the next 20 years. To live forever… but it says I will be the only immortal plus the first born of each generation, to live on without my wife and younger children… I'm not sure I want that. Anyway, I'm sure you don't want to here me blabbing on about this. If I am going to tell this story, let it be a good one.

So when I got off the plane a taxi brought me to this empty plot of this land with $1,800 in my pocket. Here I am, home(sort of).

Well, not much of a home yet, but it will be. I knew the first thing I would need would be to find a wife. So I went for a walk in my neighborhood looking for any potential singles, when I saw a beautiful young lady wearing all black watering her flowers outside her house. Once I mustered the courage to talk to her, she had wiped the dirt off her skirt and gone inside. So I rang the doorbell.

Before long she came out to greet me. Her name was Agnes. I shook her hand and asked her if I could come in. "Well of course! It's been so long since I've had company."

She was kinda closed to me at first but eventually I cracked her shell. Eventually I was goofing around with her when the doorbell rang.

I don't know who she was, but I think I saw her when I was walking the neighborhood. She came to tell Agnes that she just wanted to give her regards for her late husband.

"Late husband? I'm so sorry I had no idea you were widowed. I will leave right now." I told her. "What are you talking about? Do you know how lonely it gets when your widowed? People think you "need time alone" but do you really think that's true? When someone become's a widow, it becomes the most lonely period in your life, please stay." So I stayed and comforted her. I decided I really liked her, so I asked her what was on my mind.

"Do you maybe… wanna… well… I don't know if it's too soon or what, but… do you want to get together?" I asked very carefully. She breathed through her teeth for a little while, thinking. "Dorun, I have been a widow for nearly four months, and I hate it. I've been waiting for exactly this moment… Do you know how my husband died?" she asked. "No, I just moved here from Simla, China." I answered. "Simwhat? Never mind. My husband drowned at the beach on our honeymoon… I hadn't even changed my last name when he died. And that's when I realized that life is too short, you can't just spend half your life in sorrow over your dead husband. You have to move on. So yes!" I was speechless. After only four months of being a widow she was ready to move on? Oh well, I saw my chance and took it. "Wow Agnes, you don't know how happy you've made me, you won't regret this, you wait!" We went to celebrate in the bed room.

Wow, that took a really long time to wright, you have no idea. I always make my story on the spot without righting it down first. I hope you like it! ;D

Chapter two: My awesome new life

That night I dreamt about fires and people getting rescued by firefighters.

So the next day I decided that I would be a firefighter. I made a goal to save 30 sims. Apparently I won't be doing those kind of jobs for awhile though. Oh well, I'll get to it. Here's me fixing up the alarm!

My first fire was hot. Really hot. I got paid $400 though!

I realized that I really needed to work on my athletics, so I started right away!

Not all people can pull it off, but I can look hot even when I look like I need to go to the bathroom really bad! ;D

You guys know my girly friend Agnes right? By the time I went to my third day of being a firefighter I got up the nerve to ask her to be my wife. I invited her over to the fire department at the end of the day to give her the news. "What's up Dorun?" She asked me. "Well I wanted to know if you would like this present I got you from the jewelry store…" He kneeled down and pulled a black box from his pocket. Agnes gasped. "Dorun… wha?" "Agnes, will you marry me?" I asked.

"Yes Yes Yes!" Agnes cried.

We didn't waste any time so we had a private wedding.

When we got home she got some new clothes, here are some pictures!

(Sorry they're so big)
We decided we wanted little kiddies so we went straight to the bedroom!

"Shall we Try for a baby?" I asked. "We shall Dorun." She said, smiling.

I like the dark tips you've added to Agnes' hair.

Good luck being a firefighter, that sure is an ambitious career choice for a first Gen dynasty Sim.  I hope you get all the rescues you're going to need.

Yah, I like her hair that way, it just looks weird without dark tips. Personally I've always liked the firefighter profession, plus a $18,500 check every weekend!? Couldn't pass that up. :D

The nickname doesn't have to be part of his name, I realize it's kind of hard to get a nickname out of Dorun. (muscles, the rock[lol]) Anything you can think of that represents him would be good.  :)
