Duel the Stranger quest

I am in the middle of the Kill the Boar quest with my Knight when I got Duel the Stranger as a task for the day. I can't clear it- I've both won and lost the duel but I can't complete it. Can anyone help?

Well, you've most likely moved on by now, but the best thing I've found to do when either responsibilities or quest tasks get stuck like that is to save my game, shut down and restart.  I've always found that resets them and then they will register properly.
