Her first crime was because I wasn't paying attention.  Malcolm really did invite her and then go to work so she was stuck with only Nancy to talk to.  Instead of making friends she started fishing on her own.  That just seemed awesome and I kept with it.

Until the death of Simis, there were 8 people in my house with the twins as the youngest.  It's a handful to say the least so a lot of times I will send them to do stuff and let them decide what they want to do.  If I don't like their choice it's time to make them my slave again.

The second time - I have no idea what happened.  I told her to come home and she didn't.  It wasn't until I went looking for her that I found out she had stayed out... again.  Best part is she's the one getting caught and it's Alex who always has the wishes for it.

I almost wish that Generations had been out when Angelica and Alex were born but I'll just settle for Gen 3 or 4 getting to have more fun than her.  I doubt anything SV can produce would be able to breed out being a Grim.

Nooo, Ricalynn, you can't say that, it's tempting fate.
Sod's law will dictate that Generation 3 is gonna have a boring childhood. Or they would if it's possible for you not to be able to find something hilarious to play with, LOL. ;D

Somehow I doubt Angelica will pass on very Angelic Characteristics Genes to her Offspring.  :D I'm probably wrong though!

Awesome update! I know how you feel, I would love to hug them sometimes. I have to settle for them hugging someone else though. It would be awesome if there was someway to reach through the screen and give them a little squeeze at moments like that though.

Rica: "Well congratulations.  Level 10 Athletic.  I love that you made my life easier."
Artie: "*huff* How *puff* did I make *huff* your life *puff* easier?"
Rica: "Well since you went the easy way and you have done squat to improve your logic skill.  This means that none of your future generations will have to go to China for the martial arts skill.  Before you ask why, no other immortal can max athletic now that you have.  No traveling for your dynasty. Which means no glueing your feet to the ground when someone did travel.  Boss' rules and all"
Artie: -fatigued, sigh- "I should have thought of that.  Oh well.  But back to talking about me.  Now what do I do now that I'm Mr Awesome Level 10."
Rica: "Now you have to finish the three athletic challenges to supermax the skill.  In fact, you have a lot more work to do buddy."
Artie: "I refuse to let you get me down.  I'm still awesome with a capital A."

Michael: "Here's the ice sculpture that you requested, Mr. Wolff."
Thornton: "Why thank you! It's perfect and I'll have to show it off to all my friends."
Michael: "My what big teeth you have."
Thornton: "Excuse me.  It's the thirst."
Michael: "So how long have you been a vampire?"
Thornton: "For about 3 or 4 weeks now I guess.  Why?"
Michael: "Just curious.  Well it was nice to meet you.  I should let you get something to eat and I'm sure my mother could use me back home.  We're all still in mourning over my father."
Thornton: "Yes, Morgana and I send our condolences.  Nice to meet you too."

Rica: "I'm sorry that your dad is a vampire, Shelly.  There is finally a Wolff child in a dynasty and of course you're going to be a vampire.  So I'm sorry.  I hope you grow up well and maybe you can be friends with another generation."

Rica: Angelica has let me know that she would like to showcase some of her hard work.  She thinks she's getting a bad rap for no reason at all.  Yeah ok but I will show you guys the newest members of the family

Perfect Minnow: Keli
Perfect Anchovy: Desiree

Perfect Goldfish: Jamison
Perfect Alley Catfish: Ulysses

Perfect Jellyfish: Chanel
Perfect Rainbow Trout: Gene

Perfect Red Herring: Tam
Perfect Tuna: Julie

Rica: And that makes 8 with 5 more to go for her LTW.  Whoo!

Dorothy DeMayo,  Grim Family Paparazzi: "So.. I hear you kicked the gnome."
Evil Postal Worker:  "Yeah.   You got a problem with that."
Dorothy DeMayo, Grim Family Paparazzi: "I'm just confirming for a story.  You realize you're most likely going to die a cold and horrible death for such a thing.  This family has secrets."
Evil Postal Worker: "I'm not scared of them. "
Artie: -screams from the front door- "If you need to socialize, go home!"

Rica: "Alex.. it's so… colorful.  What is it?"
Alex: "Flowers in a garden, silly!"
Rica: -turns head sideways- "Maybe.  Hrm.  Ok.  Time for homework.  And I found your mother's old cooking skillbook for you.  I have it in the left bookcase."
Alex: "Awesome!"
Rica: The best way to keep the teens out of trouble is to keep them busy.

Bella: "A little more yellow…"
Rica: "Bella, congratulations!  You managed to reach level 10 in painting."
Bella: "Really?  That's good.  One skill down, one more to go for my lifetime goal."
Rica: "Yep time to start working on that guitar skill.  You doing ok?"
Bella: "I miss Daddy but I realize that life has to go on."
Rica: "Yeah.  Has Mortimer been by?"
Bella: "He's coming over later for dinner and possibly a movie.  Now that Dad is gone.. can he move in?"
Rica: "I think you and Morty should talk about that.  If he moves in, there is a very good chance that you will never be able to have a child due to lot restrictions.  Basically, you would have to hope for your brother's death before you became an elder.  Since two places have stay open for Angelica's spouse and child."
Bella: "I'll talk to Morty later then.  I hadn't even thought about children."
Rica: I hate delivering bad news.. that's what Artie is for.

Ricanote: Here is an image of the original painting in a Sims game without the Insane trait.  I got this screenshot from the wonderful and downloadable Painting collection by Anushka in the Carl's forum Swap Shop.

Aww Thanks!  :) I'll be glad to help if you need it!  ;)
Definitely do.  Can I PM you screenshots?  or would you rather I went to the building section :D

Welcome to little Shelly Wolff - sorry about your destiny.

Also big welcome to the 8 perfect fish, although I was looking forward to a picture of Gelly catching the perfect jelly. I love puns. :D

Perhaps we can appease Bella with a child (for the gen 3 spouse) instead of having Morty move in, we'll need to name her Cassandra of course.

I love the way you think, lilygirl.  However, Mortimer is Angelica's cousin.  So I'd feel more comfortable thinking of it farther down the road like.. Bella's grandchild and Angelica's grandchild -waggle of eyebrows-

Woot, great job Angel!!  Congrats to Artie on maxing his skill!  I love Alex's insane paintings.  Has he tried a portrait yet?  I'm interested to see if they turn out like Picasso paintings.  :D

That would be interesting but as I've never had a portrait come out blurred by the artistic trait, I can't imagine them being Picassoed by the insane trait.   I'll have to put him to work for giggles later to see if it can happen.

Also I came to realize that I told Thomas I would love his help but there are so many people that read this thread that I admire as builders that I figured I'd reshow the outside of the house for everyone.  This is the smallest house I've ever had on a 60 x 60 lot and I have absolute no idea what to do with all the yard space.   I was thinking of a hedge maze but that seems difficult at the moment :/

All that space just needs filling!  ;) I can just see a Pond, Pool, Driveway and so much! I will knock up a bad replica of your House and show you what I come up with. You could PM me or just share some more pics in this thread or the Building Board, I think I will need a Picture from all Four Sides, Front, Back, Left, Right.

I think a hedge maze would work rather well, but it will indeed be painful and very time consuming to create. Looking at the house, I think there's several garden styles that will work for you.

There's the French Baroque gardens (e.g. Versaille). Your house is definitely well suited for a garden like that, but if you think a hedge maze is a lot of work this will probably be worse! You could however simplify the design, not every French garden was designed as elaborate as Versaille and the countryside chateaus in North France have a similar design style, yet it's much more sober (they didn't all have King Louis the XIV's budget).

What would be a little easier to realise are the Italian Rennaisance gardens (e.g. Villa Medici or Boboli gardens). They've a much stricter layout, but within this strictness not everything has to be cultivated the way the French liked to do it. There's usually one main axis, and a few minor ones around which the design is centered.

Another option would be to take your inspiration from the wineries in France and Italy. Personally I think this may be the "easiest" option to go for in the game. These gardens usually have a few main points that are clearly designed, such as the patio in the back and the front entrance of course. They often resemble renaissance design. But the other areas were usually filled with different garden elements, such as ponds (often rectangular lengthing the main axis of the winefield), fountains, ornaments, a lawn, etc etc, all offset with local plantlife to create cohesion between the direct environment of the house and the surrounding hills.

The possibilities are endless though, these are just a few I think will suit the house very well. What I try to do when I create something is to come up with a concept first, that way you can very easily create a cohesive "master plan", which you can then use as a guideline to design your garden area by area.

If I had more time I'd recreate your house and show you a little bit of what's in my head, but I barely get around to playing my own game atm. I hope I was able to help in some way though and you can always ask questions of course!

Thomas - I got some screenshots coming your way. Thank you very much for your offer.

Phyre - I know you're busy and I really appreciate you taking the time to list some examples.   Once I see what Thomas comes up with - I'll let you all get to see what I can actually make happen.   The limit being my own ability here of course lol

Of course, Sergeant General Artemis has all final say on building projects.  If he's not happy, he makes sure the rest of us aren't either.

That house needs some landscaping around it. You could add a few fountains from left and right, ponds, surround them with plants. Some work with terrain paint will be needed too. Later on, you can create a zen garden for your future Martial Artist, a gym for the athlete, as well as widen the garden area. Nectary will work too. As well as a garage, recreation area, kids' zone (including a treehouse, when Generations is released). Your house is awesome, it just needs to be made even more awesome! ;)
Since my summer holidays have started, I have more spare time, so I can devote it to playing Sims. I would be glad to help, if I am able to.
Another thing I'd recommend to do: search for some landscaping tutorials on the internet. You could come up with something very beautiful that way too. ;)
