Actually, all of those careers come with base game. I think you may be talking about the Medical career but Ambitions only added on to it.

The Investigator branch was added with Ambitions. That was the whole challenge with the "Base Game Only" statement.

Oops!  haha, I guess I don't know sims 3 very well... not even the careers! :o  But I might as well try to answer the current question... even though I've never played sims 2 or sims 1!  Haha, I must be weird.
Bacholer(did I spell that right?) Goth,Langarak,(again, did I spell that right?)gahhhh!  I never played the past sims series!  Gahhhhh! I give up.  But could you at least tell me how many I got right?
