Old posts in 'Show unread posts since last visit?'

When I click on 'Show unread post since last visit' I suspect to see topics I've never seen before. But why are always the 'Babble Threat' and the 'Pictures sims have painted' available in that section? It's logically that they apear in the 'Show new replies to your posts' as they do that there as well.
I've wondered for a long while why this happens but I always have forgotten to ask.

Unread Replies means there has been a new post in a thread you have posted in. Unread Posts are posts you have not seen in general so any threads that have brand new posts in a thread/topic. So unread Replies limits new posts to where you have posted whereas Unread Posts just shows all new posts/unread posts.

I understand that option as this: it provides a list of all the threads that have new posts added since the last time I was on the forum, not just the threads you have posted in or brand new threads. For example, when I close the forum and head for bed my current visit is over. When I log back in in the morning, the "Show unread posts since last visit" option gives me a list of all the threads people posted in while I was sleeping and off the forum. All the activity that happened while I was away, essentially. It talks about "unread posts" not unread threads.

Does that make sense, Leto?
