Traits and Jobs
« on: January 06, 2010, 04:25:01 AM »
Hi, on the Sims 3 website a while ago, someone posted a guide with all the traits that go well with each job like Culinary goes with Natural Cook. I was wondering if you could do that on here? As a guide, some people may find it useful if they want to know what traits to give their Sims but don't want to read the whole guide. Since you have done a guide on most of the careers in the game then it shouldnt be too hard, I think.  ???

Someone over at MATY said that the only traits that affect career progress are brave for law enforcement and evil for criminal; and ambitious for all careers. Also, the multitask reward increases the rate you progress.

Natural cook and other skill-traits don't increase the speed of progress directly, but you will be able to get cooking faster, which indirectly leads to promotion. Also, workaholic just makes you lose less fun, gives a nice moodlet while at work, and makes your Sim autonomously work hard.

They are mentioned in the Career Guide.
Either click on "Good Traits" for general useful traits or go to the specific career to see suggestions for that specific one.

We also have a Lifetime Wishes Guide that gives information about the best traits:  http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/

Will these help?

This is actually a very solid idea, samoht04. I'll see if I can come up with a nice, concise Sticky of how I would build all Career characters and just put it right in this section.
