Noodles, do you have Generations? You won't be able to patch up to 1.19 if you do have Generations because Generations requires the newer patch.

No I don't have Generations. The patch released with it just messed my game real bad, I now want to get rid of all the travel related problems. Never mind loosing the memories. :)

TheChronicR thank you so, so much, I'll try & look myself too but I don't know too much about this game & patching, still... so I just might need help.  :(

Noodles, I found a site that has what you need. But, since it's a heavy modding site, I'll PM you the link. :)

EDIT: Done. Now I'm wondering (as a question to Pam/Carl and the mods): is it possible to post the links to the cumulative and incremental patches for easier access, as some people these days are seeking them?

Thank you again! <3
I thought about it and decided I'll first download the WA patch and see if it fixes something. Without re-installing, because it scares me a bit.  :D
If the bugs are still there, I'll do a complete reinstall & 1.19 patching this week... and let you know if it made anything better. I know there's a lot of people having the same problems as I have, so maybe this would help someone else, too. :)

Edit.
Aww I'm confused again. My WA is version 2.17.2.011032. I assumed it would be outdated, because I have never updated it manually and I thought the laucher does not update WA automatically, only the Basegame and latest EP. But the latest patch @ the official forums is "World Adventures (EP1) 2.13.6 to 2.14.4"... 2.14? Isn't that like 3 patch versions older than my WA?
I guess I'll just reinstall everything... x__x

As PJ told me in a PM, Carl gave us permission to post the direct links to the patch 1.19 downloads. Here you go! :)

These are the direct download links for the patch 1.19, in case you want to revert your game to a pre-Generations state. Remember that you won't be able to do so (or at least your game won't properly function) if you have Generations or Town Life Stuff, which require patches 1.22 and 1.24 (along with their massive bugs), respectively.

Enjoy!

I have reinstalled and patched every EP (except Gen of course) up to 1.19/2.14/4.6/6.2 with these patches, and the game works fine. I'm so happy now! Thank you Chronic!

Just a note for anyone else planning to do this:
If you have a game you have played with the newer patches, you can not load it if you reinstall and patch only until 1.19 (pre-GEN). Even if you didn't have the actual Generations EP.

You're welcome! Glad it worked for you.

That's actually correct for any custom content (perhaps besides the store items), too. ;)

My question has probably been answered but when reading through this thread, I got thoroughly turned around.  Sorry for being dense, but here we go.

I just got my newly refurbished PC back (yay) and am now in the process of getting things up and running.  This new HD has never had Sims3 on it.  I just installed Vanilla Sims3 and the EADM.  The Launcher indicated that there is a patch available.  I assume that is the most recent patch, 1.24.  The game as it stands right now is at Version 1.0.631.  Do I need to do all the previous patches (manually) or will Patch 1.24 automatically include all the previous content/info?

I also purchased a few EPs (finally) but I'm not going to attempt any installs until I know Vanilla is working properly.

Thanks for any help!

What it sounds like is that you only need the Culmulative Patch for Vanilla. This will bring you up to the newest patch level - 1.24.

So, do I simply need to do the patch that the Launcher is suggesting (it has no number -- it just says "An update is available...")?  If I allow that update/patch, will do all the prior patches automatically?  Or do I need to search out something that is specifically called "Cumulative" patch (the ones linked  above only go to 1.19)?

Sorry to keep asking for confirmations,  but I don't want to mess up :).

It's okay, I was like that too. BellaClo linked to the Culmulative Patches in her first post in this thread. Now, Nichadaemus (the guy who started the post BellaClo links to) updates it with every patch. Yes - the launcher will apply a Culmulative Patch, I believe.

That did the trick, Seabody.  Thank you!  As you suggested, I went back to BellaCho's first reply in this thread (Reply #1 on page 1) and followed the link she placed.  After following the instructions, I fired up the game to test that things worked and they did!

Of course, now it's late, so I won't actually play, but it's nice to know it's set and ready.  Tomorrow's projects: install and patch EPs, then learn how to play with all the new stuff!  With any luck, things will go as smoothly as tonight's adventure!
