Please help with the Famin fever quest

I am on the famine fever quest using the merchant hero and cannot complete the quest without acquiring 100 barley, and only have 48/100 after being arrested, killed and starting over from a failed quest three times. I have sent the merchant to discover plants to collect but only get wildflowers, herbs, and seeds. The other thing I tried was sending the merchant to the Shoppe to purchase more barley but you are limited to fifteen a day. Next, I tried sending the merchant to sail trades with Tredony and Crafthole with no luck. Any hints are welcomed.

I can't remember if I've done this quest or not.   I know the Prima Guide has errors in it, but for the Famine Fever quest it says the Merchant has to acquire 15 barley, and it shows the Wizard using a spell called Multiply Food.  My impression is that the spell is what would give you the huge number of barley - have you tried that?

I forgot who it is who says it, but one of the people you talk to during the quest tell you where to trade them.

Load them on the ship and sail to Tredony

You have to talk a bit to the people - then you can go to the village shoppe and get a bunch of fancy clothes which are waiting there for you to pick up. Those you can trade for burley - took me a bit to figure it out.

I just re-played the quest, I was given the 100 bloomers by the Royal Adviser when I spoke to her while following the quest. A speech bubble popped up from my character saying to trade with Tredony.

I misread your post the first time and didn't notice you had already sailed to Tredony, so unless there was a choice somewhere I missed that means you have to go to the village like HtFde said instead of getting them from the advisor, it sounds broken.

Edit: Did you put the bloomers into the ships cargo when you sailed to Tredony for trade?

Thank you all for responding to my question. I used all of your suggestions and after checking, the merchants trading inventory I collected the bloomers (which I did not do the first time), and added them to the cargo hold then sent the merchant to Tredony. This trade gave the merchant the 100 barley needed to finish the quest. Thank you all so very much.

I am stuck at getting the peasant's drunk does anyone know what to do i cannot figure this out! Please help! I invited them to the party but i cannot figure out what to do to get them drunk. I have tried going to the market and docks didn't work.

Sorry forgot to add i am using the merchant on the feed them one and am on the last part of the quest. i have the barley bag and bought 15 barley as well.
