Need help with store bought items!

Okay, sorry I might have caused a lot of worrying/confusion, but I realized just now when I went to my sims 3 page to view what items I had bought, the one I was looking for in the game turns out was never bought. I had wanted it, but it was too expensive; I guess I just wanted it so much, I played the game thinking I had bought it. Sorry guys! This thread can be deleted.

What about houses? I have downloaded a few but I am not sure what, or where, they are suppose to do, or go,. Do they just show up in the neighborhood or what? Sorry for asking so many questions here I promise I will stop once i have this game all figured out.

No worries, Sondra.  If everyone stopped asking questions, there wouldn't be a need for this forum and that would never do at all! 

When you download a lot (house) from the Exchange, you need to install it into the game from the Launcher.  After that, the house will be available in the Edit Town function from the Main Menu.  There's a tab for empty houses and you'll find the ones you downloaded there.  Click on the one you want, then click Place Copy, and select the location in town where you want it.  Once it's loaded and placed, you'll have the option to rotate the house in case it doesn't face forward on the lot.  Once you get it situated and click accept, the house will be there in town when you play the game.  It will only be in that particular town, though.  If you start a new game or switch to another one, the new house won't be there.  It's only in one game file.

If you download a house to your game, it will show up in the list with standard houses you can build. Edit your town and click on the list with standard and downloaded houses. It should be there. Click on it and place it on a lot which is big enough. (If it isn't, you will not be able to build it there.) It will take a while before it will be built. After that you go to the lot (the game makes you, you don't have to click on something) you can turn the house clockwise or counter-clockwise. If you press okay, it will take some time again and then your house is built.

Hee hee, yeah. I finally pushed that store button just once to see if I could make it stop being all "Ooh, shiny" like that. Worked.
