I think he looks like his brother Ethan when I aged him to YA with cheats except for his nose. I even took a pic if anyone wants to see.

It's the nose that makes him ugly... Other than that, he's not too bad.

As Ellenser noted, it's the nose. I can't say that he is too different from his siblings (except the nose), especially Ethan, so I guess you're right.

For me it's a combination of the nose and the fact that his face is freakishly long.  To me he looks like a cross between Frankenstein and Mr. Ed (for those of you under 40, google it).

I think she meant google Mr. Ed. I took a close up of Arlo and um well he's just ugly! I don't know why, just how EA designed him I guess!

Yes, I'm very certain that is how it works. And when you start out in Sunset Valley, Arlo is a child, so his genetics are set.

They don't always look the same when aging. In fact, I don't think Arlo Bunch (or any toddler, or child sim aging to the next stage) has had the same hair and clothing style, ever. My last game, when Arlo aged to a teen, he had the same hair style as VJ Alvi did.
