I keep hearing about baby boomer and 100 baby challenge. What are they? And who comes up with the challenges? EA? Or the gamers themselves? Or you guys?

Baby Boomers is a challenge written by Metropolis Man on this forum. There are versions I, II, and III. I believe they are the most popular challenges on the forum.
I believe 100 Baby Challenge is rather different. It involves one person having 100 babies. I have never done it and probably never will. Baby Boomers I was tough enough, thank you very much. ;D
Also, it's the gamers who write the challenges. I think Grant Rodeik and the team are busy preparing Generations and Stuff Pack #4.

P.S: Baby Boomers I and II are in the Graveyard. Baby Boomers III is in the Challenges Section of the forum.

Any challenge on our Challenge Board is written by Metropolis Man, who is an Administrator and Moderator on this Forum.  The 100 baby challenge must come from someone on the official Sims 3 forum.  I don't see any talk of it around here.

Baby boomer is a challenge where you make two YA sims, male and female and you try to have a big family but you can't adopt stuff like that. The 100 baby challenge, is where u have a single female sim and you woohoo with different fathers, none of the kids would be from the same dad. I even think after you have a baby with one person you can't have another. I could be mistaken though.

For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

I thought they were the same challenge with a different name. People talk about the 100 baby challenge on the official sims 3 facebook page, as well as the baby boomer challenge. But then several people talk about the graveyard, relating to the baby boomer, so that's where I got confused.

It's possible that there's a baby boomer challenge on the official Sims 3 site.  If you're seeing these comments over there, then that's where you should ask the question.  Our Forum isn't connected to the official one.

For us, there have been two Baby Boomer challenges with a third one scheduled to start soon.  The rules and results of the first two have been moved to the Graveyard Board.  That's probably the graveyard you're hearing about.  It's a Board on our Forum where we put old things that we don't want on active boards anymore, but don't want to delete.

I hope this clarify things for you.  :)

I get it now. I keep misreading the forums. I don't read them detail by detail, just scan through.  :o

You can, indeed, have several children with someone(or several someones) outside of the household. The only restriction is the 8 people in a household one.
