Chapter 41 - Immortality, Visions on the Future

 
         The Last Mortal Chapter of George Jade
 
I watched as my Mother replicated Ambrosia, this was the Second time I had watched her Eat it, the First was when she first had it. Now here she was replicating some more, I watched her sit down and slowly eat it, I could tell who she was thinking off as she ate. The glow engulfed her, my Mother had topped up on her Immortality.
 


 
I went to sit down, assuming she wanted to talk to me about something, I heard her moving around and a clatter of plates in the Kitchen area.
 

 
Next thing I know and she has another plate of Ambrosia in her Hands.
 

 
She sets it down in front of me and now I realise, I am ready for Immortality. I couldn't believe it, I asked about my Portrait. My Mother simply said that my Megan had painted it and my Jocelyn had Sculpted a Sculpture of me, And so I began to eat my own Ambrosia.
 

 
I felt the World Stop and I saw them all, I saw them. They all smiled and I knew them all by name - Diana, Chris, Gabriella, Cemre, Madeline, Eliza, Agnes, Dad and a Second Chris. It hit me then, Mum had hinted at something when I was younger, she spoke of a girl who time Travelled to a safer place because a Monster stole her Family. My Mother was that Girl and the Monster was the Reaper.
 
 
 
I thought Immortality would be amazing and that you would feel young and fresh, I felt the Truth of our Situation, it weighed on your Shoulders more than before. You saw the Family you had to save and they looked so Happy in the Darkness that another one has made it through.
 
I soon realised that Mother was gone. I didn't know what to do but I felt a tug, it just pulled at my Heart and Soul and I followed. I reached a Stair Case that I had never seen before, I climbed down several steps until I reached a corridor, what scared me most was the Voids that appeared, parts of the Room just vanished in Darkness.
 

 
I saw hints of our Past, I felt them tugging me. The Colour on the Walls was my Name Sake, Jade. 
 


 
I reached a Door and heaved it open, only to enter a Room with a single Stair Case, going down. That wasn't possible though, it wasn't safe and against the Building Regulations to go further that this Floor, it wasn't possible, yet there was a Stair Case, leading into Darkness.
 


 
I began my Climb down the Spirals of the Stairs, each step making me feel lighter and not part of this World, If I hadn't been so drawn down here I would have bolted for fear of some Death. I thought maybe I would join my Relatives but no.
 

 
At the base of the Stairs I stood in Darkness, Several Chairs Stood facing towards the Stairs. One was occupied and it was a Green Chair, a Light hung in the Darkness only illuminating the Chair, Bamboo and my Mother who sat in it. 
 

 
She said nothing and indicated towards the Chair on her Right. It was Blue, my Favourite Colour. I glanced to her left and saw another Chair, that one was Black, Black is Tia's favourite Colour.
 

 
And then I sat, I felt the same rush of Immortality, it was like a Throne. I saw all of the Chairs full, all occupied, then I saw feet descending the Stairs and I knew that I had just seen the moment the Eighth Jade gain Immortality, I didn't see any features I just saw Shadows, I remembered what my Mother had said to me when she spoke of Immortality to me, she said that the Eighth would face the worst Challenge in the End, but they would save us all. That is what I saw because then I saw them come through, one by one until I saw Diana herself. I saw everyone. 
 

 
My Dream ended and I glanced up just as the Blue Light above my head Flickered on. I sat with my Mother, lost in time and I knew that there were only Six more to go.

I'm a little confused, Thomas.  The Subject on the first post says "Immortal Number Two" which is also what shows up on the board as the name of this thread.  But then the Subject on this last page says "Immortal Number Four."  What's going on?  I'm sorry, but I haven't followed all the details of your story.

Are you sure you see "Immortal Number Four"? All I see on this page is "Re: The Jade Immortal Dynasty - Generation Four!" up until Serena's post. From her post on, the subject is "Re: The Jade Immortal Dynasty - Immortal Number Two!"

Pam, Generation Four - Tristan Jade (Heir) and his Cousin Percy Jade, were born a few days before George Jade (Generation 2) turned Elder and had all of his Challenges done so that is why it went from Generation Four to Immortal Number Two. However I am like Seabody and I don't see Immortal Number Four anywhere?

Aw, Thanks Serena! Seabody was right in giving that Story, The Founder of that Dynasty Attempt is Shannons Great-Grandmother. This is my Fourth Attempt but I deleted the First Two because they were being redone, I used the same Founder and the same Spouse.
