Bounty Hunt: Wild Boar

My knight is on the boar quest. He's supposed to go to a cave, with mushrooms outside, which the cave by the graveyard does have. Does there happen to be another cave because I can't get any interactions at the cave I know about?  Until this setback the quest was in platinum and his focus was good.

I've done that quest with my spy and it was the cave by the graveyard. I believe you have to go into the cave to look for the boar.

I've done this one and it IS the graveyard cave, but I can't understand why you can't get in. I had no problem, and the cave pops up in other quests as well and again, no problem. I hope someone can help you I know they'll try!

I had a bit of a problem getting the cave interaction to come up when I did this challenge. My hero waited around (while I tried to figure out what was wrong) and after a while the interaction came up. I decided my hero was to fast arriving at the graveyard and the quest information hadn't "caught up" yet. Other than that I don't know.

Unfortunately, while you're hanging around your meter is running down.  I actually wound up in silver on this quest from platinum because things just kept getting worse.  First he lost focus, then got hungry and tired and by the time I could actually enter the cave I was so ticked off I just did a redo!

You should still be able to keep the quest in platinum if you keep focus up.  If the quest hasn't caught up to the cave, do other things to keep focus high.  I've gone one or two days without tending to a quest and still finished with platinum.

As for this particular quest, yes, the cave at the graveyard is the right one.  You should be able to click on the cave and get the option to look for the boar.

I've had my knight wait at the cave, had him go back several times over a period of a few days, kept his focus up, had him reread the boar book and nothing.  The quest icon says discover the cave and just stays there. I've completed every step of the quest and I don't know if it makes any difference but when the option came up I chose "go alone" rather than "ask for help". I've clicked all over and in and around the cave area.


I've completed a several dozen quests with no problem so I feel pretty confident I know what I'm doing.  This is the same thing that happened to me in the Hamfest quest. The quest just stopped and wouldn't advance.

I've done that. I've had him near the mushrooms, had him walk in the middle of them, clicked on them, had him look at them and nothing.

If you're doing the 'kill the boar' approach with your knight and walking by the red mushrooms after selecting to find the truffles yourself doesn't update your quest, it sounds like it is bugged. Other than resetting the game or resetting the quest, I don't think there's a solution.

I think I might have had to talk to the gravemaster/digger (? whatever his title is) there before I could click on the cave. For me he was standing off to the right side by the mushrooms. I also think I got a quest task saying I needed to talk to him before the task came up to explore the cave. Sorry I just remembered this, unless it was another quest. Man I'm so bad at remembering names of quests, I need to start writing things down so I can be of actual help.

Kal Helios is right.  You just have to move your sim towards the back of the red mushrooms getting him to 'move here' (not sure of the exact command).  He will move and then you can click on the cave.

Incidentally last ambition it took my level 9 knight three goes to kill the boar and he wore his expensive armor.  With much trepidation I sent my level 1 knight in last night and she got it first go.

Did you go with the ask for help option?  After you read the book about boars an option comes up, go alone or ask for help. I went with the go alone option and the quest said to discover the cave. I discovered it and that's where it dead ends.

But like I said earlier I had another quest that dead ended like this so I'm wondering if it's a game glitch.

I can't figure out how to give one of the bounty hunters a beer!  I've gotten a serving, but drank it myself.  I've tried the "serve to someone" but my bounty hunter isn't on the list.  How do I carry a beer to this guy?!

To serve a drink to someone, I think the other Sim has to be in the same room or at least the building.  I've done this quest and can't remember if it's the one where the other sim is in the forest with a keg nearby.  If it is, you can brew in that keg and serve to them.  Another way I often do it is to get the other sim to come to me - when your sim is sitting and eating or drinking, if you click on the sim you want and "Call Over", they'll come to you.  Then you can serve a drink from the keg where you are.  I find the tavern a good central place for meeting people, but you could also do it from home.
