I really, really liked that video, KJSinclair! Thankyou for the link.

Is anyone else as excited about the Bachelor parties? I think they're a brilliant addition. ;D I've always wanted to throw a bacholer/bacholerette party for my sims.  :D

I'm really excited for bachelor/ette parties! I'm at the age where it seems like people are getting married left and right, and there always seems to be a bachelor/ette party going on. I used to try to throw an unofficial bachelor/ette party for my sims when they got engaged, but it just never felt like a true party.

Yeah. I threw unofficial ones, too. But like you say, it just didn't feel right. Lol at how there's gonna be 'party dancers'. ;)

Here are some little tidbits I picked up along the way :)

Imaginary friends do not have to be turned into real sims, they can but its just an option. I am not sure if it was in a video or an interview I read but it seems that 'insane' Sims may keep their imaginary friend. Whether they disappear for everyone else remains to be seen.

We will have to choose between a bachelor or bachelorette party for each engagement.

The chemistry set can be used for good as much as bad.

The Rebelious and Nurturing Traits, will assist sims throughout their lives and not just in the life stages that have been specifically mentioned.

Elders will naturally dislike children and teens and be grumpier regardless of their traits.

KJ

Everything happens for a reason, sometimes we have to wait a long time for the reason to become clear.

I really hope that isn't true! I know many older people who prefer to be around children and teenagers because it keeps them feeling young (like my grandma)! It would be a shame for the game to encourage that kind of a stereotype.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was only for Children/Teens not related to the Elder, I don't want my Grandparents hating his/hers Grandchild!  :o

It seems that elders will be grumpier with teens and children, notably if they are not related or do not have a high relationship bar with them then they will naturally dislike them. Close bonds formed early affect this in a positive way. Grandparrents will enjoy showing off pictures of their grandchildren if they are close but a child or teen being badly behaved around them will make them react negatively. It seems like it is about to get very realistic rather than the stereotype 'old people hate kids' lol

That's really awesome. I've always wanted to do a story on the grumpy old man that hates kids, and Generations will for sure be a bonus. :)

I hope this means going back to old ladies smacking their purses around like Agnes Crumplebottom did in Sims 2. :D

EDIT: 3rd June. And wow - $69.99NZD.

I've begun to pretty much just play one family I've already made and save all my new ideas for Generations.  I keep starting neighborhoods and thinking "This would be so much better when they can ____________ ."  LOL

Right?! I was playing Constance Shelley's daughter and she wanted to have a sleepover but I didn't grant her wish because I knew it wouldn't be the same without sleeping bags. Plus, there was no room to buy another bed.

Wow that's a lot to pay.
I preordered the download version last week @ 34.95 euros on the EA Site
Can't wait, because then I will only need LN and HELS and my Sims 3 collection is complete, for now  ;)

It varies by a few simoleans. That price is at EB Games, and I expect Dick Smith (different electronics retailer) to have a slightly smaller price. I paid $3 extra for medieval at JB HI-FI (again, electronics retailer), than the Warehouse (I guess it's a mall).
