I'm sad they don't have a devil costume.

I see lots of monster costumes in my neighborhood on Halloween night — zombies, dracula, werewolves, skeletons. A devil? Never seen one. Probably because there are religious implications with the "devil" and costume makers don't want to go there — at least for little ones. Maybe they do exist.

Devils?  Or their costumes?  Are we getting metaphysical here, Metro?   ;)

I don't think they should though, millions of real life people dress as a devil for Halloween every year, I mean the movie Problem Child, Junior dressed up as the devil, at Lucy's birthday party, after he was banned from her Magic Show.

Generations could be loads of fun playing with our Childish Sims though.

That was a movie.  Most retail stores don't even sell devil costumes, however I don't know if this is strictly due to religious reasons or simply because other costumes would be more profitable.  You have to either go to a specialty shop, or make it yourself.

They do in Shops I have seen. Not a full costume but like the Pitchfork thing and the Horns then a red cape. We don't really do Halloween over here as much as the US. It's just always available because the Shops get their stands ready for the Halloween stuff then after Halloween is over the Christmas Stuff can come out with just a change of theme.  ::)

Back On Topic:-

I'm sad they don't have a devil costume.  :( Hopefully the Sim Store will provide more costume ideas.

I think we can expect that! I suspect we may get one for each Holiday maybe? Like get a Rabbit for Easter and a Reindeer or Elf for Christmas!  :D

I have a picture of me when I was around two or three in devil costume for Halloween from the 80's. However, I don't know if it was handmade or store bought. I'm willing to bet on handmade as it seems to have been a hand me down from my uncle in the 70's since I found a picture of him wearing one that looks exactly like the one I had on.

Not only do I see devil costumes in shops around here for Halloween but I see the same shops ads in the paper with the devils in the ads.

I think we are getting a bit offtopic.
I personally hope that the Camcorder will come with an ingame editing software. I would like to fix bits that I do mistakenly...

Yes, we are indeed off topic.  The availability of devil costumes in real life doesn't fall under the subject of the Sims 3 Generations Expansion Pack.  Or any other discussion of devil costumes, for that matter.

Did anyone see the really neat fantasy themed beds that will be included in the Sims 3 generation pack? The Official Sim's 3 Facebook Page just posted them under their "Generations" Album.

It's a fantasy themed child's bedroom to be exact. ;D

You know, I was just musing about that myself. If my Sims are watching movies, I want them to be quality! I hope we'll be able to share our in game movies with other members, perhaps by sharing a Sim with a camcorder in their inventory. I'm sure Leto would keep us well supplied with Sim cinematography.  ;D

In other news...

(picture from the simsgalore link on page 29 of this thread, if that's OK)

Eeeee new patterns! I always get bizarrely excited about the patches that come out with the game, especially patterns  :D. I wonder how much new content we'll get from the patch alone? Scrapbooks seem like something that wouldn't be limited to just an expansion pack, but I could very easily be wrong.

A new addition that I just read about is Dating.

It reminds me of the Hot Date EP. You can invite a Sim out on a date (like creating a group). And, the two Sims on the date have hearts over them. It seems really cute. You can also chose to leave a date. Which is good if the date is going horribly!

Another aspect reminiscent of older EPs: after the date your Sim get a notification about how the date went. Exciting

Sorry if this is a repeat of something someone else has said. I just got excited when I read it. :D

I agree. The dating system sounds like Nightlife (Sims 2 EP), which was great fun :)
