Does this mean that we can adjust heights?

I doubt they'll ever include height changes to the Sims. I mean, that's usually how we can tell teenagers and young adults apart. That girl probably is a teenager.

I think we should all stop focusing on all the negative things, like complaining about no new towns, life forms, skills, etc. and talk about the positive things that are coming to this expansion pack. I thought this forum was suppose to have positive energy toward Sims 3. It may not have the additional stuff (towns, deaths, skills), but think of all the stuff that it will have that we have been waiting for since Sims 3 came out in 09. Think positive.  ;D

Yes, we discourage too much negative behavior on the Forum, but rest assured that the Moderators will step in if it goes too far.  :)

Well I understand that EA developers read Sims forums. If you don't talk about the negative along with the positive how can they get an honest assessment of what Sims fans want and what they are unhappy about?

Discussing what we see as negative aspects is one thing.  I see nothing wrong with someone saying "Well, I'm a bit disappointed that this expansion pack apparently doesn't have a new town/weather/pets/aliens/etc," so long as that person doesn't continually harp on it.

Bashing EA because of the negative things we see is another animal entirely.  That's what brings the "negative energy," and it really doesn't serve much of a purpose.

I'm not terribly excited about the new EP because of so much focus on family because I rarely play with on going families and I age up babies and toddlers pretty fast. (I'm just not a baby, toddler person)  I am, however, going to buy it for the new items and some of the new skills. I'm currently adding a lot of teenagers to the town I'm playing right now. I want to see what new things they can do and what will happen.  Right now weddings are really hard to organize so they seem right and I'm hoping now it will be easier.

I am awfully disappointed there won't be a new town. I spend a lot of time bulldozing, building and rearranging existing towns so they feel a little more new.

I am looking forward to this expansion pack for many reasons, but I was just mentioning that I was disappointed about a few new things I found out. I didn't mean to be too negative but I guess we should just talk more about the things we will get.  :)

Generations could be a bonus to my first challenge. Especially with all the costumes our children will be provided with.  :D

I think I'm going to wait and see what the reviews are when it comes out. I suspect I know where my first paycheck will be going, though.

Echoing other enthusiastic sentiments, I cannot wait. But, then again, I'm easily impressed. LOL!

Most of all, I'm excited for new gameplay. The strokes, life state interactions, and weddings are the things that I'm most excited about. This will be the first EP that I'm buying on the first day.

I like the stair case!  I always like to build my sims bedrooms with two floors, and the spiral staircase is a big space saver!  The lava lamp is nice, and the dress is good too.  I read something on the first page about baby carriages?  I didn't read through the whole thread, sorry if it's been brought up already!

Strokes? I must have missed that? Is it a new type of death?

Hmm maybe even though I did read somewhere that there won't be a new type of death.

Oh, I hope not. That would be a bit too sad, and much to realistic for the Sims.
Maybe it was just a mistype... :-\

I don't want that either. My Grandfather had a Stroke. He survived but still he still isn't right and my Grandmother is often in tears because of it, she has to deal with him and his moods and things he can't do since that. That is in my opnion just too realistic.
