It sounds like you can adjust the lengh of Each life Stage! That sounds really cool!

But I think my favourite change is one that you'll find on the settings menu. Right below the slider where you choose the length of your Sims' lifespans, there is now a slider for each age so you can choose how long each life stage lasts. So, if you just can't stand having babies around, you can set them to 1 day. These sliders are "proper" sliders, unlike the overall life length slider, so instead of choosing from a bunch of presets you can choose exactly how many days each life stage will last.

That's what I'm most excited for (well, after imaginary friends and new LTRs). This might require a change in the General Challenge Rules as well. Oh, and thank you for the PM. :)

Although I was a little disappointed we weren't going to see seasons anytime soon, I am really happy with all the information we have so far about this new EP.

It's been said a few times already in this thread, but with this effort to increase general gameplay, making it more fun to just play, not matter how, who, or what you're playing sounds really promising. With this focus on quality instead of quantity all current gameplay scenarios are being given a huge boost (or so it promises). I think this is a very good idea for an EP, and I really hope they manage to actually deliver. It'd be a shame if this all turned out to be "a few cool new features" but nothing significant. If they do manage to pack all the good gameplay we currently lack in there, as well as integrate it nicely into the current gameplay, this may be one of the better EPs!

Mine too. Sorry if it caused problems and/or misunderstanding. :(

Ack! Sorry if I offended anyone. I wasn't trying to say that chest hair itself is skeezy, I just meant that it's not something I'll use, unless I have a sim where it would fit their character. If anyone's seen the movie Matilda, I was thinking of Danny DeVito's character when I said that.

The new info on Generations looks great! I'm so excited to be able to change how long my sims stay in an age bracket. I'm usually a big fan of using the birthday cake to age them up to child and teen early, but then if they've made any friends their age, they're stuck in the earlier age group for so long. I'm not sure that I'll share my sims' memories on Facebook though... I think my friends would get sick and tired of seeing that pop up in their newsfeed all the time.

• Punishments - Time Outs, Favourite Toy taken away.

I can't help but wonder if there will also be new behavioural reward actions. Reward > Punishment. Negative actions are best ignored. Punishment should be a last resort, if all other methods to discipline behaviour fail.

I think they got those from that Site Chronic.  ;) I actually like the Time Bomb song now Lol!

I don't know, I don't remember seeing any rewards mentioned. Apparently a Child on Time Out will be Grumpy and face the wall, the writer said their kids imaginary friend kept getting the kid in trouble by distracting her.  :D

There is a thread with a lot of information at the EA Sim forum. It's under recent topics and the thread is New Info Coming In Now. Someone who got to play at a London unveiling wrote quite a bit about it.

Most likely. ;) Still saves you time cropping out the name of the site! ;D

As far as I know (or according to that website), the most expensive Chemistry potion - Imaginary Friend Metamorphium allows you to turn your imaginary friend into a "real Sim". Of course, they're still not quite like a real Sim, and they can turn back into their doll form at will. (last bit shamelessly copied from the website!). ;D

This expansion pack is starting to look better and better.  It could be the best one yet, even if we don't get a new town.

Is that David Hasslehoff?  :P

Looks like! I didn't pay attention to it when posting. :P
Anyway, I think they messed up with body hair too much. Have you noticed the body hair in the second screenshot, on "David's" back? Yuck.  :-X
