That is the only downside to that.  I have read where members did make quite a bit of money with their sims bake sales.  I was not quite so fortunate.  When I did the article for the guide on this, I tried everywhere.  They did manage to sell a few items in their own yard and some at the park.  I think the child gets bored and they wander off to play.  I have seem a few tables at the park when I took my own sim, but the child was never there to buy anything and then there were times I would watch quite a few people go up to the table and buy stuff.  Go figure, updates for this, if any, are probably somewhere towards the bottom of the list.  I don't think this is a pressing issue, but, who knows.  It is still fun to play though.

I have already made a few couples getting ready for this EP.  I know I will dive right in and I don't want to take the time when I get the game to make sims, lol.  I know, I know, I am just funny that way.

Day Care profession?   That will be my top choice for careers now.

Gift-giving is BACK! I missed this so much. And kids can pick flowers and give it to others. How cute.

Body hair? I thought I heard about this as inappropriate or something. I don't understand those slider mods, people can just wait for it to come out in a better version.

Entertainers are back too, I think they sound fun. I read the page about them for TS1.

Family videos and timeouts sound cool too.

I don't get how there can be a slider for body hair. I might want my sim to have a T shape of body hair instead of a line. And what would the slider do? Make it whiter/darker?

I wonder if we can make Werewolves now then?  I suspect it is like the Muscle Definition, you either have it or you don't, I have noticed that Muscle Definition breeds out though through the Generations I wonder if Body Hair will, I'm guessing it's mainly for Men because I doubt many Women have hairy chests or backs.

Simple answer is No but the Wikipedia Page did have a name on there but that has been taken down so I'm guessing EA had it removed because it wasn't the real name.

One fact for sure, is that there is two new traits: Nurturing, and Rebellious. Nurturing is a trait, along the same line as family oriented, perfect for our noo-boo lovers, as it's prone to strict parenting, and even giving time-outs or punishments to the children. Rebellious is a trait that makes Sims better at pulling pranks.

I see that Children might be wearing uniforms to school based on one of the official EA pictures.

There are two theories I have heard which are that the School will not be a Rabbit Hole anymore which I don't believe and also that the Private School may be coming back from Sims 2. You could say that the room they are in is the Library in the possible new town we will get as well.
