Just been on facebook and under the home page with the news feed there was this statement from the official EA sims 3 facebook page:

"In The Sims 3 Generations, you can now have a gnome family! The Mysterious Mr. Gnome you know and love from base game will age through the life cycles just like the Sims. Leave two of these magical gnomes in your Sims’ homes or have them hang around a wedding and you just might see a new magical addition! Each of the different gnome age ranges has new poses and appearances, and they each prefer to appear near different objects that are suitable to them.

Toddler Gnome – Gnomes are already small, but these magical toddlers are tiny!
Child Gnome – These playful little gnomes are just a little bigger than toddlers.
Teen Gnome – These teenaged gnomes have the look of youth and rebellious teen spirit!
Elder Gnome – Gnomes past their primes, but still just as magical."

Mysterious Mr. Gnome has now evolved!  ;D

Yay!! Sorry, I couldn't resist. Gnomes can have families and age! That's to good to be true! Hm, I wonder if a challenge could be created involving the life cycle of Gnomes. That would be awesomer! :D

This sounded great at first, but I hope they don't die.

Next the gnomes will want their own seamless neighborhood, complete with celebrities and vacation destinations.  We've tread down a dangerous path, ladies and gentlemen!

Just kidding, the gnomes sound really cute.   :D

First we had The Sims.
Than we had a spin off called The Urbz.

Will the next spin off be called The Gnoomz? Could be.

I have to admit, just as a world of medieval furniture, outfits and buildings enticed me to buy TSM, a world full of little things for gnomes would be adorable, too, but do you think it would be significantly different than Sims 3?  I've always wondered at the very young children I hear about playing Sims.  Maybe EA could do a gateway game (called Gnoomz) to get them hooked before they even learn their ABCs.   :D

Now, I can't be certain on this... but it seems that Generations, and the patch that comes with it, will allow you to take a Sims back to CAS! Woot! It seems that if you have TestingCheats enabled, and Shift-Click a sim, you'll get the usual options:
Modify Traits
Delete
Trigger Age Transition
And there will be another one... "Take Sim back to CAS".

I'm sorry in advance if I am wrong, but I saw this on a site affiliated with the guide (I believe). I'm so excited now!

That would be awesome Seabody!! That way I wouldn't have to do it the 9 step way in my Dynasty haha.

This is the site.
The post is "Gen Patch Adds New Testingcheat Cheat?", which, at this moment, is number 2 on the main page.

@Esther
That was one of the first things I thought of when I saw that! "Esther won't need to do that much to Gunther, next time, plus, he'll keep skills, relationships...", along with "Yeehaw! Finally!"

EDIT: Easier way to switch households!
