How Do I Buy a Vacation Home?

I managed to get one of my Sims to level 3 Visa in France. She got a with to buy a vacation home, and the wish says to buy one using the phone or computer, but I don't get the option to do that. Help?

Yes, and I can't buy one from there either.

That's odd, have you tried restarting your game or going Home and trying?

What exactly happens when you click on your cell phone?  Do you see a category for Real Estate or anything about a vacation home at all?  Is it grayed out?

There's no button for buying a vacation home. The Check Real Estate button is there, but like I said, I can't buy a Vacation Home from there.

Where is your sim currently when you tried? I don't think you can buy a Vacation Home from your Home Town I think you have to be there?

She's got a level 3 Visa in France, right?  While she's in France, you need to click your cell phone.  It should give you the proper option.  If it doesn't, we need more specific information.  Exactly what shows up for you?

Edit:  Have you ever successfully bought a vacation home?  Or is this your first time?

I just want to jump in and say that in my Dynasty, when my Sm earned her Level 3 Visa in France she couldn't buy a vacation home there either. The option simply never came up on the cell phone, even after waiting a couple days. I had to first send her home and then send her back to France for the option to come up on her cell phone. This was the first vacation home I bought after the patch that introduced the computerized deeds system for properties and vacation homes. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.

1.  Are you still on your first trip to France or is it a subsequent trip?

2.  Is the Sim with the level 3 Visa actually in France?

3.  Exactly what options do you get when you click on the cell phone belonging to the Sim with the level 3 Visa while he/she is in France.

Yay!  I'm glad you got it figured out.  Yes, you can have more than one vacation home.  When you first arrive in France (or wherever), it will ask you which home you want to use.

I'm glad I can have more than one, I couldn't decide between Watchtower and Champ Les Sims Castle.
