Insomniac Flaw - How To Cope!

I found out accidentally, that if you have your insomniac Medieval Sim go to the Village and "Sleep At The Inn" they get almost a full nights sleep!

I'm curious how the Physician's Sleeping Draught will affect an insomniac. It's an awfully expensive solution to a problem like a good night's sleep, though....

Nice. That may make the insomniac flaw fun to try. I never took that flaw since I would find it hard to manage. I can't wait to try it thanks!

On a side note wouldn't taking insomniac flaw for the wizard work since they technically don't sleep? Unless insomnia affects meditation...

I've also found that taking naps when energy gets to about half works pretty well. My sim hasn't woken up with insomnia from a nap yet.

Sighs - ok, now I have to ask this. I have been seeing the tents in the comforts section right along the beds. I have, though, never been able to actually place one - I assume the merchant could, because he/she has an outdoor section where you can drop a tent.

Who else and how else can you use a tent?

The merchant and the peteran priest can have items outdoor and I'm not sure with the jacobean priest but I think he/she can't. In a tent you can sleep or woohoo with someone nothing else.

I think the merchant can have tents too.  I placed some things outdoors also.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

I was disappointed that you couldn't buy a tent at the Shoppe and have it in your inventory so you could sleep out on the edge of the forest or down by the shore.  NPC's can put tents there but we can't.  Not fair!

Has anyone tried putting a tent in the small space just outside of the great hall?  It seems when my Sims want to party it up with the jester that's where they gather and it looks like it could be plenty of room.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

I have tents on the royal training grounds. (Actually, I wiped that whole area clean and redecorated..it has something for everybody out there.)

WAY COOL!  I know what I'm doing when I need to redecorate next!  Thanks MadameB.  (are you an opera fan? )

According to information passed my way, the Monarch funds all purchases on the Training Grounds, so this could come in handy for a lot of starter Sims through a variety of means... if the King has the cash!

Glad I could help!

As for my user name...I picked it thinking I was being completely original. It's funny though. Since I use this name for most Sims related stuff around the net, I was soon informed of the opera. Either I had heard of it before, and the name lodged itself in some remote part of my brain, or I was "channeling" it...which I have been known to do on occasion. (I have random psychic tendencies.) Anyway, I'm not really exposed to the opera all that frequently, but I have at least one friend who is trying to correct that. lol  ;D

Hey. I'm just checking back. The insomniac flaw is perfect on the wizard. I can spend most of my time with my focus maxed since wizards don't sleep. Meditation is the perfect way to beat insomnia. I have tested this playing a few quests on my wizard.

Oh, cool tip, Kordain! Thanks!

I have also found with my insomniacs that a higher energy-rated bed will help drastically. You can pick one of the mid-priced ones, it should do.  :)

My first insomniac was my Peteran priest. He had that horrid little rope bed and would never make it through a day!  ;D
