House Tour
Here is the view of the Steel House from the across the street with roof up. The fence, second parking section and the stuff in the back is actually all new.
My first pond ever and it was so sad but now I've managed to do a little landscaping and added a few places for the outdoors folks to hang out or for young love to perhaps blossom.
Behind the pond is Sage's Garden. There is one section for his money trees and his other fruits and veggies are in the middle. We have an empty section of fence beside those two that are ready for some grapes from France. I haven't decided if Nectar making will be a future generation or if it will be Sage's fun thing to do as an old man.
This view is from overhead. I decided to keep the house simple and went with just one story. By the time Generation 8 is born there will be a little remodeling but not much needed to make them happy.
The Dining Room -- Dill is attempting to upgrade the replicator he just bought.
Kitchen -- it's a small room so it looks distorted as I zoom-tabbed to get everything in. There is a nice window in the kitchen to look out into the courtyard
Living Room -- The place where they all seem to flock at one point or another. Ever since we bought the video game system this has been a popular room.
Art room -- Mike and Dill spend a lot of time in this room. It's small so it looks distorted a bit. I make sure that there are a lot of lights for portraits. That picture on the wall is of Coriander - it wasn't brilliant or a masterpiece but I loved it just the same so it hangs in here.
Nursery -- This room hasn't changed much at all since Agnes had it built. It's waiting for the birth of generation four
Sage's bedroom -- Nothing has changed about this room since Agnes left. It has stayed just the way it is. The paintings on the wall are various ones that Agnes had done before she died. There are also pictures of Pepper and Dill as babies on the walls.
Pepper and Shantel's room -- Back when I was in denial of giving Pepper what he wanted in his favorite color. I thought of changing it for the tour but there are many happy memories of this room just like this.. why change it now?
This room is for future use, probably the future martial artist. Right now it's Shantel's rock breaking room and she's the only one who can get in. The two chests are full of goodies from the trips that have been taken to China. I need to get the stuff out of them and put them somewhere else.
Coriander's room -- right now he still has a single bed that will be upgraded soon but we're not pushing for children for at least another 10 sim days. He has time to invent and get a job!
Dill and Mint's room -- Originally Mike shared this room with Dill but when his parents passed he moved into their room. Now the two mortal brothers of dynasty heirs use this room to fight over the arcade game.
Mike's bedroom -- formerly the bedroom of Chris and Jamie Steel. The right wall is completely covered with fish tanks that currently house Sage's fish breeding program. One tank is for deathfish, another for vampire fish and a third for robot fish. Why the robot fish - only Sage and Chris know
Sage's paper reading spot -- This was shown not too long ago but we've added the first beheaded topiary of the house. Sage is proud of Dill for screwing up so well and says it will keep him happy for years to come.
Right parking spaces -- Yellow La Matea is Coriander's. The Pink Jamboree is Mint's and the black Yoshimoto Evasion is Mike's as his mother brought it to the house with her.
Left Parking spaces -- Pepper's police car. Shantel actually owns the baby blue Prius. That's Dill's Rock Town 3000. Sage went searching and finally found the car that Agnes had given up when they got married. He drives it around everywhere in memory of his one true love.
This isn't really in the house but I updated the family burial plot across the street while I was working on the house.
This is the way the courtyard looked when I started taking pictures for the tour.
This is where I changed the courtyard to add a bubble bar. Chess table, treadmill and foosball table were all moved to the building in the backyard.
The newest construction on the Steel property -- I put this here as a way to get to the basement for future nectar-making endeavors. I put in a small gym for doing all those celebrity body opportunities and a bathroom. Plus I gave them all entertainment to enjoy that doesn't involve sitting on their tuckuses playing video games. At least here they have to stand up most of the time.
The elevator leads down into the basement where I have once again put the Immortal Museum. I have also made it so there is a spot to remember all the mortals of this house. The room at the top of the picture is what's below the rec room.
And now that you've seen what's under the house - I thought I'd throw in a view of what you can see from over top the house. It's not as pretty as what I've seen in other games but I think it's simcredible nonetheless.
