Carl - There is a hammer I found. It's from the Seven Mechanical Arts Quest (I think that's it's name) I just finished playing and am really tired. Anyway its the Quest where your Blacksmith can master his Skill then theres a Quest which you have to Master Cooking, War, Tailoring, Architecture, Trade, Blacksmithing and Agriculture. Anyway you do a short task for each skill and then you can make a Badge too show that you have. It's all pretty easy it just takes time and even longer for a Platinum. I got a Platinum. All of the skills revolve around Blacksmithing pretty much. So I had all Seven Badges and I could have made two things and one was this Hammer for Smithing, I think it is Just called Seven Mechanical Arts Hammer and it has a Power 9. I'm sorry this isn't that explanatory but I have closed my game down now. This might be a good hammer for people to try and get if they maybe don't have a good enough Wizard to make an Angel Hammer.

So afterall that you are probably going to need to go and check on a few things. Next time I can be my Blacksmith I will get the finished product and if I can still see the Recipe that as well. So sorry for not being that helpful, just something I would have forgotten otherwise!  :)

Goodnight now.   ;)

Just finished playing after acquiring enough metal fragments and other rare objects to craft: angel(s)hammer, doomsword, angel's talon, doomplate, angelguard and doomstaff for my multiple heroes :P All of the legendary recipes I have found so far.
Next objective is to find out if I can squeeze out another doomsword parts from the beast. So far I have a suspicion that the doomsword and doomstaff are obtainable only once per kingdom. Will try to get more sense into it tomorrow. (Sounding like a true and greedy roleplay gamer, which I am ;))
Nighty night.

The Angel Smith Hammer is the best that I can tell, if you smith it with legendary level its a 12 point hammer. The Mechanical Smith hammer caps at 10.

I'll look for the Quest for that hammer so that I can mention it in the guide. It could be a great interim before they get an Angelshammer... it all depends what quests you get!

I got it once I gained a Level 10 Smith, I don't have the items needed to make a Angels Hammer.

Alaskasim, I would like more information about that Angel Smith Hammer. I don't even have that in my smithing list. And my angelshammer only caps at 10 power also.

If you hit a Legendary Quality it changes the Stats. So a Legendary piece of armour or weapon will attack more but weigh less or be more powerfull.

Yeah, but all the legendary items like angelshammer and doomsword, only have legendary quality while smithed, so the stats you see in the menu are the actual stats for those items. So I have yet to see an item with more than 10 power or defense.
Also sharpening a sword usually gives +1 power to a weapon, but doomsword already is 10 power and won't go past that even after sharpening.

Just a note on this, I ran through this quest last night and the night before - it seems to be you can get legendary trait out of this one.
Not sure which choice is the determining factor but if you make the magic item, you might get legendary trait replacing your fatal flaw
Not sure if this was because of that choice, or the one to make hammers for badge of architecture (had a choice to make hammers or donate cash)

I know donate and make hammer at end result in no legendary trait
Make crude hammers and make magic item (at end) gave my smith legendary trait.

Hope this helps

Alaskasim, I would like more information about that Angel Smith Hammer. I don't even have that in my smithing list. And my angelshammer only caps at 10 power also.

The base stat is 10 for both those hammers, the mechanical hammer as a quest reward is 10 and without being able to craft it that one will be locked at 10. The Angelshammer is also a base 10 but when you craft it with legendary level crafting it pops up to 12.

Seeing as how its not true unless you get a screenshot I would say, try it and see or wait till I can get home and capture the image.

Also to note, with the Angelshammer most of the bar on any item I craft is red and I can let my blacksmith autocraft basically any item into a legendary item without my own intervention on it. I think he gets 12-14 mistakes before it drops out of legendary level.

As I stated before, there are no items, as far as I know, that have power or defense over 10.
As for the angelshammer, this should rest my case:

Still on the topic of blacksmiths, will you be adding items that are crafted as part of a quest line to the guide?  I did the Crab Bandit quest with my blacksmith the other evening and he had a choice of whether to craft armor or a weapon with the crab shell he obtained from the cave.  He chose the armor and promptly gave it to my knight - I'll have to check on the name and stats for it, but I remember that it was quite good considering it's an easy quest and doesn't take a bunch of materials to craft the item.

The armor is called Spiked Carapace and it's available as one option in the Crab Bandit quest if you choose to do it with your blacksmith.  The other option is a weapon, but I have no info about it.  The Spiked Carapace is legendary quality and has 6 def/1 weight, so it's an excellent choice that is easy to get.  The only downside is that it is butt ugly.

I also managed to craft the Doomsword last night - legendary quality, 10 def/0 weight.  It has a big downside, though - your hero gets a -50 debuff whenever he or she uses it (equipping it doesn't give the debuff but using it gives the debuff, which goes away once the action requiring the sword is complete).  Once my knight's focus was maxed out the debuff didn't cause too much of a problem - it moved the focus meter a little below maximum but actions were still green and the quest meter kept filling up.  I would definitely keep a back-up weapon for times when your hero's focus isn't topped off though.

What quest if any reveals the recipe for the Flare spell? The rune combo can be input at level 1 without anything special..

I am missing more spells that come from quests. Kindly offer your recipes for the spell list, even if you don't remember the quest name.

The Quest that reveals the recipe for the Flare spell is Ye Olde Magic Show.

The Wizard also learnt Magical Tune and Vanish.  (Currently, these spells memorised but they do not show up in the list of spells that may be cast. I believe that this could be because my wizard is currently mid-quest - waiting for the Bard to sweep the floor of the tavern, if she can just find a broom - or it could be that the spells only work in the Magic Show?)

Magical Tune: Force, Air, Energy = All within earshot shall be held in thrall by the phantom song.

Vanish: Air, Light, Force = The vastness of Space shall be rendered moot; all movement made trivial.

PLUS: My Wizard also had an additional Daily Responsibility to those shown in the Guide:  Research for two hours.

I also noticed that the hyperlinks in the Guide are in a smaller or different font to the rest of the text, please would it be possible to change that?

I did the Crab Bandit quest with my blacksmith...He chose the armor...

The armour is called the Spiked Carapace and has Defence of 6 and a Weight of 1 (or at least mine did.)

Thanks. I've got a lot of little corrections and additions to make in the following week. Font size on hyper links has been corrected.

waiting for the Bard to sweep the floor of the tavern, if she can just find a broom -
I don't think I had to buy a broom, try to sweep the floor by having your bard in the tavern and click on the bard. There should be a choice "sweep the floor". If that doesn't work then I must have bought a broom at the shop and then clicked on my bard in the tavern.
