Sim names

I bought a cheap baby name book from the bookstore. It was $2.98.

I also have favorite names that have been with me since the TS1 days, I always have sims with these names in my game somewhere:

How about 'Haza Snax'?  I'm sure I heard one of my sims use it on the phone, and it looks kind of Egyptian to me.

I only can think of it being a lolspeak way of saying 'I HAZ A SNAX', or 'I have a snack'. 

As for names, I try to think from the Sim's perspective. What would the sim's parents have been like to make this sim this way? What would they name said sim? When I have in game kids, I think 'Okay, Mom is x personality wise, and dad is y, so how do we name you...'

I love using behind the name. If you need help with finding names that mean certain things, check meanings in the search in the corner and type in what you want.

In my multi-generational families i tend to think about what the Sim would name their children. For example i had one who was a bookworm so i called her children Bronte after Charlotte Bronte and Darcy after Mr Darcy.
I sometimes use Royal names i had a William Harry and Beatrice.
My six year old occasionally helps me name my Sims so i have George and Peppa from Peppa pig and Fifi Flowertot
Another thing i do is use surnames as first names for instance my current generation six children are named Trenton and Dalton

When I make a family, especially a legacy, I make the first names coordinate with the last name.  Or, I give them names with a french flair paired with the last name Legasse (LOL).
Examples:  The Rock Family (A Matriarch Legacy)
Mom - Crystal
Gen 1 Heir - Amber
Gen 2 Heir - Emerald

You get the point.  Now that I'm talking about it I feel like trying a Sims3 version of that Sims2 Legacy.  Hmm...

But anyway, if the forum rules agreed with that you could change the length maybe by putting comma's between a few that started with the same letter? All the A's together, all the B's together, all the - I think you get it.

And I suppose I could group all the names together by first letter... but I have this in a word document with the numbering feature on so it's not happening by default.
