If you're looking for names of a particular language or origin, you can Google Behind the Name.  I use it all the time.  It's even got a random namer where you can pick and choose which languages you want to use.  It's not got everything, but several dozen for sure.

There is a site I use when writing books. I don't know if I can post it here (Some could call it spam).

I think the best sims ever always have the best names. For me you just can't beat a made up name or something like Rabbit or Bubblegum.  ;) I love reading and often take phrases from those as names. When I finish my Legacy I think I will almost have to star another one but with names of Book Characters or names from books I have read. I just think names like 'Hawk' and 'Faerie' are awesome.  :)

Lately I've really liked the names Dusty and Layla for girls, and Bentley and Mercury for boys.

I can't post the website, I checked with Pam.
But I create weird names by pretty much writing random words or letters down. But make sure they make sense! You don't want Amelia Ak;ahsad3, do you?

Sample Girls Names A-M:
Ayla, Anna, Amelia, Athena, Alison
Betty, Bronwyn, Bathilda
Carly, Carina
Delilah, Dusty, Diana, Desdemona
Esther,  Esmerelda, Elena
Faith, Fiona, Faye
Gertrude, Gina, Gaye
Helena
Ingrid
Juliet, Jemima
Kerri
Leah, Lola, Leila
Madison, Miranda, Molly, Martha

Sample Boys Names N - Z:
Nathan
Ozzie
Patrick, Peter
Quartz (I couldn't think of one!)
Richard, Reginald, Rolf, Rick
Samuel, Sanjeev, Sean, Shaun, Steven, Saturninus, Shane, Sebastian
Taylor
Umberto
Vladmir, Vlad
Wayne
Xander, Xavier
Yervant, Yogi, Yule, Yves
Zane, Zagger, Zazu

Hope this gives you some interesting names, and some foreign ones!
Chronic, have I got the Armenian ones right (If you're reading this)?

I know right? Bentley is the perfect name to name your sim child, if the mother is a vehicle enthusiast. Okay, I confess, I got the name Bentley from the MTV Show Teen Mom.

I love cultural references on Sim names, especially after Pam's references to the show The Brady Bunch.

EDIT: @Pam: I was referring to your post of Arlo Bunch and Tamara Donner's triplets.

If I manage to understand which ones are Armenian, then I'll be able to answer. ;) I only understood Yervant (which is right, apparently).

Oh, that made me laugh!  ;D

I am planning a thirty generation legacy (yes, it probably won't work due to the over-populating problem :'( ) and these are the names I have lined up..

Lori
Renesmee
Savannah
Sasha
Alexa
Esme
Alicia
Peaches ;D
Brooke
Kennedy (she won't be marrying a Kennedy, though! :D )
Ebony
London
Beyonce ;D
Bree
Chanel (yes, after the brand..)

Samuel
Jahmill
Brooklyn
Kwansaii
Jacob
Lucas
Kenneth
Taio
Fazer
Emmet
Dominic
Romeo
Tyler
Caleb
Gaspard (after Gaspard Ulliel. hmm....)

These are the names for the heir's I shall pick to produce the next generation, there will actually be even more sims, as their siblings (until my game decides it's had enough and starts killing them all! :O ).

Well, now wouldn't that be silly?  Ferrari is a girl's name.  :P

Same goes for Mercedes. A brother could have the name Lincoln.

Got some more.

Owen Leemey, a loner if there ever were one.
Farrah Lee O'Dinerry-Person, sister to Vera E. O'Dinerry-Person.  Upon meeting them, you've already forgotten them.   ;)
Justin Case, neurotic, perfectionist, workaholic, what a combination!
